Great choice.
Very smart guy who has alot of connections and tons of veteran scouts, VPs, people like that will want to work for him. It'll take awhile to get out from under those contracts, but he'll get there.

The thing I don't like is that he is coming FROM the COMMISSIONERS office!!!
As a Met fan I'm afraid this will exacerbate their misuse of their natural advantage and continue to refuse to go over slot in the draft.
I do believe Alderson is a smart man and will make a good GM when it comes to signings etc, ie: no Castillo $24mm over 4 years, $33mm Perez over 3 years.
Time will tell, but please please change your drafting strategy..
