Season is over.

I can't wait until Brooks puts this game up on their site.
You guys are killing me. What a bunch of lame-o fans, I tell ya what. It's 2-1 in a 5 game series, and you say the season is over. Give me a break, it's 2 games. Just the other day you were talking about how Nova is going to be 1b on the Yankees and how he was "off" but threw 6 shutout innings before losing it in the 9th.

Burnett has had a bad year-but all it takes is one start. Porcello could give up 6 runs, and it wouldn't surprise me. You guys throwing in the towel right now are an absolute joke. Typical Yankees fan, when you face adversity you act like a spoiled 5 year old.

This series is far from over. I was even telling my buddy during the 9th, even if the Tigers lost I would feel ok needing to win game 4 and 5. The Yankees are not out-but, you are checking out. Stay class, New York.
This Yankee Fan doesn't think it's over, Just need for the Big guns to step up and need AJ to pitch good tomorrow!
I know it's not all Yankees fans. And you are right, just need a couple big hits. And I'm telling you what, Porcello has left a lot to be desired this year. I like our chances, given Burnett pitching-but we usually struggle against Burnett types, to be honest. I am very cautiously optimistic. Far, far, far from over.

This series is far from over. I was even telling my buddy during the 9th, even if the Tigers lost I would feel ok needing to win game 4 and 5. It's 2 fracking games, why can't they do it? The Yankees are not out-but, you are checking out. Stay classy, New York.

It may have been directed elsewhere but since you lumped us all together, I'll bite.

My guy was Mattingly. Loved Donnie when he was here. Those were LEAN years. Watch highlights and see his homeruns sail in to a sea of dark blue seats because no backsides were in them. I remember those years well so I appreciated the winning years and just how tough it is to get back to the top. Again, based on the rotation at the start of this year, I had them missing the playoffs. I didn't think they had the pitching and was happy to be proven wrong.

A.J. has the ability to throw a gem and he has a couple of times this year (7 innings of 1 hit ball at Royals). The more likely thing is what he has done over and over. Two or three good innings, then a call or play that throws him off and the snowball starts rolling down hill and you have an avalanche. When you watch the pattern all year you expect it to happen. The season isn't over but when the season rests on someone that appears mentally fragile with a history of coming off the hinges quickly, you can't feel good about it. Yogi did say "It ain't over 'till it's over", he also said "It gets late early out here". That is more what it feels like for me. Doesn't mean I am throwing in the towel at all. Anything can happen (see 2004).

He is going to be on an extremely tight leash. I think he will be pulled at the slightest sign of trouble.

I know the season isn't over, and I know the Yankees have a chance.

I was just a little bit irritated last night and sayingthe season is over made me feel better. Haha.

Talk about bad umpiring-Posada was not hit by that pitch.

Luckily for the Yankees, Jeter finally did something in this series.

Dammit, Porcello was supposed to throw a no-hitter so I could cash in on my Bazooka back!

Ah well... =P

Porcello hasn't thrown a strike down on the zone in what seems like an eternity. As Smoltz keeps saying, these guys will kill Porcello if he keeps leaving the ball up. ::facepalm:: ::facepalm::

So many hits with 0-2 counts off Porcello. He has got to make better pitches when ahead.

Jeter owes Tex another steak dinner for that scoop.

Did anyone tell AROD and Tex that this is not "Post Season Spring Training"?

Granderson is horrible. He has only saved 4+ runs this game.

Clearly his defense has taken a step back this year. ;)

Listen-some people dive to make catches when they don't have to. That catch by Granderson is one of the best diving catches I have seen all year. About as laid out as you can get. Unreal play from Granderson. And the play in the 1st inning. He is the difference today, along with Burnett.

Out of curiosity-why are you watching the game? The series is over.

Also-who is saying Granderson is horrible? Not sure I have seen any of that here, but maybe I missed it.

As I stated earlier, that comment was out of pure emotion. Similar to how I wanted Swisher gone after his "HBP Incidents" last post season. Except this time I was literaly sick to my stomach.

Oh, and "sabermetrics" say that Granderson is one of the worst centerfielders in baseball.
