I always thought it would be cool to have a baseball set feature the more memorable moments in history just left of the traditionally recognized stuff. For example, George Brett and the pine tar incident, The Unit hitting the bird, a Ryan/Venture dual auto commerating the 'fight', Griffey's wall crash, the killer tarp, ect... All could feature cards hand signed, some with comment inscriptions, ect... Could be interesting I suppose...

I like the ***** League idea. I'd also buy a DiMaggio themed set.

I would honestly love for a company to make a REAL, extensive, high-end music-related set. With on-card autos, cut-autos, show-used and low-numbered inserts of many of the greats. It has never been done and I think it would be awesome. Imagine a product where you could pull Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Bod Dylan, Elvis, Michael Jackson, newer bands etc autos? That would be amazing. I'm talking a full-on, music-dedicated set, not like Americana or anything. I want a Geddy Lee auto! :P

This would be cool. I wish a company would do this (not just Americana or Spectrum, a full on music product).

I would love to pull a Thomas Delonge autograph, although his autograph sucks and he isn't all that famous :D

A political product would be interesting, but I am sure Leaf would get heavily flamed for it.

A history set would be cool. I know Topps did American Heritage, but do a serious set with cool cuts and on card autos.

Way off theme from what most have mentioned but I would love to see a nicely done horror movie set. Licensing would probably be very tricky though.

Cuts of Alfred Hitchcock, Bela Lugosi etc, scream queens, actors, directors, throw in some sketch cards, definately have to add some b-movie content, blood splattered super prismatic 1/1s, and then put me down for a truckload of it.

Wasn't it Razor who did something like this called Horrors of War or something just recently?

***** league set!

THIS!!!

100% agree!
Agreed and if not done soon, there will be no more on card sigs or great stories. The players that are still with us seem to be ready willing and happy to share their part in an area of American history that should not be forgotten. If done well it can a remarkable set, and would probably be pretty cheap to do.

Nergro League is an awesome suggestion.

Also, history of boxing, not only an Ali oriented product but something from A to Z with Joe Louis/Marciano/Schmeling/Dempsey and others cut / memorabilia and modern-era guys autographs too.

***** Leagues was going to be my second suggestion after Olympics. Not sure how that would work from a licensing perspective though.

I'd like a gone before their time kind of thing, athletes and celebs who died early or a gangsters- or notorious personalites- through the years(because I'm loving Boardwalk Empire!). Everyone here agrees on a Musicians Set though, from an earlier thread somewhere.

this would be absolutely awesome! I remember when metal was coming out and BG was doing an interview in the chat, I mentioned doing a set like this to him and he said that he would be very intrigued to do it but there is a difficulty in the fact that all of the musicians stuff is A) very very expensive and B) not that much of it is authenticated by groups such as PSA or JSA.

I also think a set dedicated to the ***** leagues would be a very good seller. I am a big fan of baseball fan and I admit I know very little about the ***** league. A set like this could be very informative to people like myself who are relatively new to collecting and don't know much about that league.

Actually, what about a set devoted to Pelè? he's easily as popular as Mohammed Ali, you could argue he's even more popular simply because of how huge Futbol is in the rest of the world. you can get from players like Maradona, Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane (as good a player as he was headbutter), Ronaldinho and if you could add current players like Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and more it would sell very very very well! You could do so many different subsets it would be amazing. While it may sound unrealistic considering what the autographs would cost for some of the players but if you did it right and marketed it as Exquisite Futbol and charged exquisite prices I guarantee it would sell out.
