Can we get off the Remove Vogelsong/Cain/Lincecum argument? As mentioned before KEVIN CORREIA IS AN ALL STAR.

and to think that Tommy Hanson still hasn't been named to the team is a complete travesty.

16 players being replaced. and only five of them are actually on the DL.

So you think that Vogelsong deserves to go over Tommy Hanson? Vogelsong is a starter and not even eligible for the ERA title. Any other manager and Vogelsong doesn't make the AS team.

Why do you think Bochy was able to pick 4 more pitchers and 3 of them were Giants?

I personally think it is awesome that Vogelsong made it, one of the best stories in all of baseball this year. I do however think that there is a strong argument to be made for Hanson over Lincecum or Cain. If the season ended today, Hanson would be in the top 5 in Cy Young voting, but somehow he isn't good enough to make the All Star Team?

I'm actually not anti-Giants. I'm anti-homer. And the Giants fans are the blindest of them all (there are a few Giants on here that aren't bad).

I can actually admit that I don't want them to win now b/c of the homerism that spews on this board from Giants fans (just like many don't want Ryan Howard to succeed b/c of a certain member here). But I don't hate the Giants like I do the Stankees and Red Sox.

I actually thought you were darocker for the longest time under a different name b/c I thought he was the worst homer of them all.

Vogelsong deserves it, does anyone know which players were choosen by the players and which by Bochy? I don't.

As I stated before - Lincecum, Cain, and Vogelsong were all selected by Bochy and not the players. And he only got to select 4 or 5 pitchers total.

I'm sure I can find it but who was selected by the players? Also does anyone know if the Braves want Hanson in the game?

Cain was a nice pick, a way to thank him for the type of player he has been and to reward the fantastic pitching during the post season. Bochy knew he was going to throw Cain on Sunday and that Cain couldn't be ready for the All-Star game so he'd replace him right away, so you can take Cain's name off the list.

Now you have Lincecum, since the game is a popularity contest and he is a two time Cy-Young award winner and the post season MVP during last years World Championship, and he's in only his 4th full season, I can understand that Bochy would chose to stay close to home and add him to the roster.

I truly believe Vogelsong deserves it, so Bochy's choices all make sense.
