Lincecum was effected by an error and a sloppy throw. I'm not saying Lincecum was great, I'm saying Halladay was worse...

I think that is the point he is making. If Wake gets in a close game throwing to someone who doesn't catch a knuckle, it could easily cost them the game.

Under, I have faith in the AL catching. These are professionals, I feel they could catch the ball with minimal trouble.
