I'm often critical of Topps for overusing players once they sign them, however, in the case of 2011 Bowman, Harper being in every set and subset is awfully nice for breakers, check this out, here are the ways:

Base Chrome - [phil:1vtl8m04]140548759080[/phil:1vtl8m04]
Bowmans Best - [phil:1vtl8m04]120724446889[/phil:1vtl8m04]
Base Bowman - [phil:1vtl8m04]170641092771[/phil:1vtl8m04]
Topps 100 - [phil:1vtl8m04]320699174645[/phil:1vtl8m04]
Bowmans Brightest - [phil:1vtl8m04]220783828183[/phil:1vtl8m04]
Green Parallel - [phil:1vtl8m04]150605177474[/phil:1vtl8m04]
Of course all the Refractors, none of which are listed
Retail Auto Redemption - [phil:1vtl8m04]250819837080[/phil:1vtl8m04]
and of course the Bowman Autos.

Like I said, in this case, Topps putting his image everywhere is nice for breakers.

The Bowmans Best are selling rather well so far, think people are liking the throwback look?

I listed a chrome and a base of Harper as a 24 hour listing last night and the chrome is at $41 with a few hours left and the base is at $10.50 with a few hours left. I just listed them for the hell of it after that one chrome went for $100+. I'm not complaining at all because I will be easily breaking even, but wtf is going on? I haven't even tried listing the Topps 100 I pulled of him.

I think the cards look great, btw.

Awesome, seems that people have had retail for days now.. and yet it's nowhere to be found in Chicago.

Who has had it for days. First anyone had gotten it in hand and on Ebay was yesterday.

Did those first couple that went up in W Virginia and Virginia list on Thursday?

I like the throwback look too. Purely from an aesthetic perspective of course.

I do too. Last year it was '92 Bowman, this year Bowmans Best but with more prospects included. '89 Bowman next year :)?

I wish they had etching. But yes, I like them. I'll be building base + refractor sets

Well I went to a Toys R Us here in Mesa, AZ and they had three blasters....No Harper in any of them but some other decent chromes. The only bad about Toys R Us is that the blasters are 23.99 not 19.99 like at say Target or Wal Mart.

So with Harper in so many of the subsets, is it better to go with Hobby versus Jumbo based on the number of inserts?

Good question, I don't know how many inserts you'd get a box in either, do we know jumbo and hobby odds for inserts?

i was sitting at the lcs yesterday and based on what topps is saying on their sell sheets (hobby vs. jumbo), it looks like you will get at least 20 more inserts in hobby versus jumbo. it spreads differently depending on what type of insert but with all Harper cards going between $20 for base and $40 for all inserts, to me it looks like if you were to do a quick flip, you're better with hobby (provided that sale prices still hold by Weds).
