I've read hundreds of complaints from sellers and buyers about ebay and Paypal. My question is what would you as a seller/buyer want in an auction site? What if there was a site that you could send in your sports cards and memorabilia and they sell it for you and charge less than ebay and Paypal? I'm not only talking about items that sell for 5 figures, but more along the lines of $10+. I was thinking about this a few days ago and would love to hear others opinions.

I personally would love an auction site with low fees, easy to use, and they do all the work for me and I just collect a consignment check.

Bring back Teletrade. You though sniping from your blackberry was intense? Try dialing a phone number with limited connections every 6 seconds for an hour trying to get your bids in.

I bought my first card of wensy.com last week. It's online auctions, free, but few people access/use it, so not a great site, but maybe worth a look for low end items.

Ebay is and will more than likely remain the only real option for a case breaker like myself. There may be other alternatives that come along that are great on paper but without the traffic that ebay has it won't mean a thing. Long story short. We're stuck with Ebay.

There are places like eBid that could be alternatives, but they've never really been able to get much traction.

It would take someone with a big name like Google to get peoples attention and even have a chance to draw traffic from ebay. Things like Ebid and Grandslambids just don't have the recognition.

Hey, that's me! :^)

My idea was more of an ecommerce site for myself. COMC is a great idea and I think it is the future. If they can continue to get the traffic, it will be.
