Am I being picky or does this FF trade seem kind of bogus?

A trade just went down in my fantasy league and I can't help but think this isn't just a case of one guy helping another buddy out.
Here's the scenario....

Team A has the following RB's....Brian Westbrook, Jacob Hester, Michael Turner and Kevin Smith
Team B has these RB's....Cedric Benson, Felix Jones, Maurice Jones-Drew and Ryan Grant

So the trade was Brian Westbrook for Ryan Grant.

I realize Grant's no power force but why would anyone want Westbrook right now?
After 2 Concussions in 3 weeks I just don't see Westbrook as anyone somebody would want to trade a dependable full time RB for this late into a 14 week fantasy season.
Am I just paranoid or do I have a legit gripe?
Opinions welcome.

I don't know. Westbrook has never played a full season and Ryan Grant is finally starting to get carries. Westbrook "might" be back this week. Looks like someone just doesn't want the hassle of Westbrook and wants an everyday starter. I would do that trade also.

I would think anyone would do the trade as long as they were getting Grant and trading away Westbrook.
It's the fact that the guy who picked up Westbrook (who's definately out this week and possibly more weeks to follow by the way) has Cedric Benson, Jones-Drew and Felix Jones already in his arsenal. He didn't really need Grant all that bad and definately doesn't need Westbrook.
At the same time the guy who picked up Grant has Jacob Hester (very little fantasy value), Michael Turner (high ankle sprain and could possibly be out 2-3 weeks) and Kevin Smith (another low value fantasy back).
It looks a lot like one buddy helping out another and it just bothers me.

Westbrook could be out for awhile. Of course there is some shady business going on. Grant has quite a bit of value. I would veto that trade in a sec.

According to two neurological specialists, Brian Westbrook should make a "full recovery" from his pair of concussions.
Doctors say his symptoms "improved significantly" in the last three days, and that Westbrook produced all favorable test results. "We are very encouraged by Brian's progress, we believe that he has an excellent prognosis," the docs added. Westbrook will get another checkup in 2-3 weeks after being put on a "comprehensive rehab plan," although the Eagles were advised to take a "conservative" approach with their 30-year-old tailback. It appears Westbrook's career isn't over, but he's still no sure bet to return in 2009.

Well the guy who traded away Grant for Westbrook is claiming stupidity over dishonesty.
This particular person also has more transactions than any other team throughout the year so I believe he tends to do his homework.
I'll stick to my initial feelings that this was a crock.
He's sitting pretty good for RB's and his buddy not so much and of course his buddy who ended up with Grant is my opponent this week and my team is by far the hottest team in the league at the moment.
Hope my team kicks his ssa and Grant scores a giant goose egg!

Felix Jones gets 0 points a week. Just sayin'. I actually just dropped him and Tashard Choice this week. Barber is definitely their number 1 back followed by a very very distant second Choice and then Jones.

I completely agree but let's not forget he also has Cedric Benson and Jones-Drew, both fantasy studs.
I realize that Benson is banged up but from what I've read it's nothing as serious as Michael Turner's high ankle sprain, and the other guys other options are Jacob Hester and Kevin Smith......well you get the picture.
I know it's not a huge fantasy point deal but if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck.
Do you know anyone involved in a fantasy league that offers up a trade without doing any research on the player their trading for?
That's what being claimed and I don't buy it.

My league there are people like that. But, I still think this trade was retarded. The guy HAD to know that Westbrook was hurt. Also, why would you take the injury prone Westbrook over Grant when Westbrook also has LeSean McCoy, while Grant has an old Ahman Green?

Is there any chance the guy is looking into the future and factoring in schedules during the playoffs? Maybe that's his reasoning for trading for Westbrook even though he's injury prone.

Bumping this back up for a quick update.
So my fantasy team is behind 44 to 31 with my opponent having DeSean Jackson left tonight and my team having Chris Johnson tomorrow night.
So I'm down 13 points for now.
Oh by the way, Ryan Grant scored 14 points today while my opponents other RB's were held scoreless.
I knew this damn trade was going to bite me in the ssa!!!

The guy who traded for Westbrook:
a) is a fool
b) is helping a buddy
c) is trying to help other owner so maybe that owner beats others who are in competition for playoff spot with guy who traded for Westbrook (make that guy stronger and indirectly helps his team)
d) all of above
