Am I the only one that gets ticked off over being overcharged for shipping?

As long as the card arrives in the shape I won it in, I don't care how it was shipped or what the shipping cost. Shipping cost is listed in the auction, I just consider it part of purchase price.

Not to mention gas, wear and tear on car to drive to po, opportunity cost of time that could be better spent doing something else, etc. Really I should charge more for shipping.

Royalmailers on eBay. I buy my mailers from them. Just ordered a 300 ct case of 4x8 poly mailers for $30 dlvd.

I love these posts cause when people realize they are not hitting the high number they add in their "time" and gas. As if thats our fault they dont have a printer or a mailbox with in 1 mile of their house. And for the the record charging for fees is against ebays rules.
I said it before if you feel your time is worth that much than open a business shipping items. There is a reason ebay dont allow you to charge for your "time" and gas. Its because you really dont need to do that.

I don't understand everyone talking about all of these extra expenses to ship something. I have a box of 25 bubble mailers I bought for like 10 cents a peice. When i sell something I click like 3 buttons, print out the label with DC, tape it to the bubble mailer and stick it in the mailbox. I use extra supplies from the cards I bought in the past (Team bags, toploaders, etc) for added protection. Where is all the huge time and expense in that? Plus it automatically updates the DC in the buyers My Ebay screen and notifies them. Whether you are big or small, why wouldn't you take advantage of that?
Let me let you in on a secret. Most have and do all what you said but still come online to complain and then say they dont have all those to justify why they are complaining. I have heard people say they refuse to hand the mail to their postman because he could steal it (he has a scanner on his waist to check it in), just to justify having to drive to the post office which conveniently is 17 miles away uphill in the snow so they can say their time and gas costs a bunch also.
Wait you own a store and dont have a printer? And why is it your customers fault you refuse to buy in bulk? You obviously have the room to store a box of bubble mailers so why would you just add cost ?
I will never not print a label. Why anyone else is still doing it that way is pure stubbornness.
i charge 3.00 and have five stars on my shipping. The key to five stars is speed.
Get the package out next day and you will always have happy customers.
btw slabs get sent first class 3 oz's for 1.69 w/dc. I have sent 100's of slabs this way, never a problem

Personally I buy legal size envelopes in bulk and buy bubble wrap rolls by the 100 yards. It's cheap and efficient.

My first post was "in general".
It was about how so many think EVERY seller uses paypal labels, eBay labels, have scales and have the mail man pick up. That's just not the case.
What may be YOUR cost isn't everyone's.
Compared to so many, I rarely sell on eBay.
Last thing I sold was in July.
And the items I do list are generally obscenely profitable so I don't care if I lose fifty cents or so.
The po is a 5 min walk, I don't mind it.
I sell so little, I don't mind taking the "extra time"
I sell with such a huge profit, I don't mind taking a shipping hit.
All I know is my po receipts read $2.97 with dc.

My mail carrier refuses to pick up packages if they are in bulk. It po'd me the first time it happened. I'm like you, I run my stuff to the post office myself.

As a seller, I don't charge fees to ship in the US.. Then I get 20% off my EBAY fees..

Sounds like he needs to go look for another job. My mailman encourages me to leave as many packages as I can since it makes his roite look better. Then again I live in a more rural area. My local post office is thankful and polite but they know they could be on the verge of being closed. Several post offices have been closed in the area.

I charge $1.50, so that at least I get most of the shipping costs back. So far, so good. My ebay feedback has been pretty good. I also print my own labels and buy padded envelopes in 500 ct lots and store in my garage.
