Here's some more from 1995 that were deceptively tough to find...

95collchoicecrashgold.jpg

1995 Collector's Choice Update Crash the Playoffs Gold NFC Central Quarterbacks. Not the easiest card to pull, from a set that wasn't super popular and was mostly retail, plus there's a bunch of different guys on the card and Favre was very popular at the time.

95imageslivefocusedblue.jpg

1995 Images Live Focused Blue. For some reason I found the Images Limited version (gold gears, clear background) easily but it took years to find this one. It didn't help that Beckett didn't originally include "Gold" and "Blue" in the official names of the sets, so I got one or two that were mis-named in the mail before I found the correct one.

95nflpa.jpg

1995 NFLPA Super Bowl Player's Party. These were given out at a Super Bowl party and were supposedly limited to 500, but I imagine they were mostly given out to non-collectors and very few made their way into the hobby because they are pretty difficult to find. It took me many years to find one, and the one I did find had a horrible bubbled autograph on it. I was lucky enough to find this clean copy a few years later.

1995 Pro Line Game of the Week Prizes & Foil Prizes. The regular Game of the Week cards inserted in packs had versions for both teams (and of course did not have the foil stamped final score). I believe these cards were redemptions if you sent in the card with the winning team (Vikings) but I have no idea what made you win the foil set vs. the regular set. I do know both versions were very difficult to track down and at one point I had my doubts that they existed.

1995 Pro Mags, Pro Mags Super Rookies, and Pro Stamps. Anybody who collects a player from the mid-90's knows how hard the "cards" from the various Chris Martin Enterprises sets are to track down. The 1994 Pro Tags Super Rookies Super Bowl XXIX version is the only Beckett-listed Dilfer card from 1994 I don't own. Really, screw that crappy company.

95skyimpedu.jpg

1995 SkyBox Impact TUFF STUFF Impact on Education. This card is not listed by Beckett, and I don't really know anything about it. Makes me wonder how many other similar cards are out there that I've never had the luck to stumble upon.

Totally bummed I was too lazy to set a snipe on this. I know it's not a huge card or anything, but wow, what a soft market:

Weird, the link won't work. It works from a "listings ending soon" email... the card was a 1999 Upper Deck Legends Century Collection Marshall Faulk /100 that sold for 99 cents. Maybe there's something else going on. I also could not find it in the ended listings.

I think with the new ebay search, it takes like 24 hours for it to show up in completed listings.

I scanned this for another thread so I thought I'd post it up over here. IMPOSSIBLE to find, how many of you guys have your player from this set?

1997 Playoff Zone Gold 2/5 Trent Dilfer. I picked it up with some other really tough ones from a former collector who got out of the hobby. The cards were not parted with easily, I had to pay about $90 for this one.

I have seen one Frank Sanders, but the asking price was WAY more than I wanted to pay.

Your right. These cards are NEVER seen. The original impossible card IMHO.

Wow that's awesome you got 2 of his at least, I'm so glad my guy only had 1 card in the set.

Yeah the $90 I shelled out is way more than "market value" but I figured since I had never seen one in the 15 years since the set came out, what were the odds I'd ever find another? Honestly I may have gone as high as $150 if push came to shove.

I think the only other non-1/1 I'd go near that high for is the 1998 Bowman Chrome Golden Anniversary Refractor/5, never seen one.

So were these Playoff Zone Golds /5 pack inserted or some sort of redemption?

I'm enjoying picking up these Century Collection cards. Look great and fun to put together some of my favorite greats from the 90's... also reminds me of the great players in Tecmo Bowl

The Zone Golds were pack-inserted if I am remembering correctly. Though Playoff also had some impossible redemption sets, such as 1997 Absolute Reflex & Pennants Gold Redemptions, and the Leather/Pennant/Ticket 1998 Contenders Registered Exchange cards. Of those five I've only managed to track down the 1997 Gold Pennant and the 1998 Leather registered card.

Just got these in.

#'d/100 - I love the 2000 Infinity parallels, even if they are susceptible to chipping.

#'d/30 - Haven't seen one surface in quite a while.

I love that 24-Karat Gold Frank Sanders and that Quantum Infinity Cris Carter. Amazing inserts indeed!

I'm getting close to a Platinum Medallion run for Jimmy -- just need the 2006 now:
