I keep replaying the decision in my head. It just struck me that part of my valuation was based on that deal I made a few years ago to get the 97 Legacy Masterpiece Jake Reed. I was able to discuss a price with the seller while the listing was still up and had no competition whatsoever. I think I paid $75. So this really blew my mind. I just wish I could go back in time and hit that BIN. A colossal error on my part. I guess I learned a lesson, but it's a lesson I should have already known. And it's not like learning this lesson will ever put that card in my collection. 1/1 is 1/1.

Maybe this will serve as a reminder to others of what not to do...

Thought some of you may appreciate this. I'll post some pics of some more unique items soon. This is a 1997 Totally Certified Platinum Gold Sample. It is not serial numbered and the peel on the card has generic ink stating "Peel Off" (going in opposite direction than what they went with), and is even peel backed some because the buyers were looking at the make up of the card. It still has the original sticky note on it where the buyer was asking the supplier how much the cost was gonna be to create. Pretty cool item IMO. I recently purchased a collection that was basically based around Topps/Finest/Chrome/Refractor promos/tests/samples but this happened to be one of the non-Topps I'd thought I'd share.
