Well, I set up my snipe at 4,250 a few days ago. I was hopeing it didn't go over that, but in the back of my mind I knew it would. This would have been the most I'd ever spent on a card, and would have been a card I was looking to add to my collection for a very very very long time.

Anyways, here is a link. I think I want this card so bad because the first T206 I ever owned was the non-error version of Sherry Magee.

T206 Sherry Magie can only be found with Piedmont 150 Series Factory 25 advertisement. There are approximately 150 examples known to exist.

Not sure how accurate that is, but it's from the T206 Museum.

I save 60-70% of what I make, so I've saved up alot over the last 6-7 years or so hoping for a card like this to come along. Now I'll probably just go back to spending a few hundred here and there pretty soon here though. It was prime time for this card to come up for me financially, but I'm not going to go for it past the 4250 I set. Now its time to finish off some sets or open another IRA

I've always been under the impression there were less than 200, card books for like 25K if I remember correctly.

Wish I could afford to do that. Wanna borrow me some?

Thats another thing I never do is borrow outside of the family. Its nice having enough to help you with your hobby habits, but I do it mostly for whatever emergency is lurking around the corner

You know I was 100% completely joking about borrowing me money. I wouldn't seriously ask anyone to do that on the Internet. I won't say no though if you offer to buy my drinks when we hang out. :ugeek:

If I'm not mistaken, isn't the Magee error scarcer than the Wagner?
Wow, now that would be impressive! :o
I can't find any confirmation of this, but I haven't searched that hard. I do know that it's considered one of the so-called Big 4 of the T206 set - Wagner, Plank, Magie and Doyle, N.Y. Nat’l. I do know that most T206 collectors consider their set complete without the Big 4; only those with deep pockets ever really complete the set, unless one wants to go after back variations!

Heck, I'd be thrilled if I could ever finish my Brooklyn Superbas set. I haven't had a hit to that list in five years it seems.

T206 Honus Wagner can only be found with Sweet Caporal 150 Series Factory 25 or Piedmont 150 Series Factory 25 advertisements. There are approximately 50 to 60 examples known to exist and only 3 with Piedmont backing.

T206 Sherry Magie can only be found with Piedmont 150 Series Factory 25 advertisement. There are approximately 150 examples known to exist.

The Wagner is more rare, but there's not many error Magee cards known to exist either.
