I can never forgive them.

For "inventing" the sticker auto.

It may just be me but stickers autos don't bother me one bit.

When done right they can actually look pretty good. If we didn't have sticker autos, we would be looking at many more redemptions most of which would go unfulfilled. It goes to far however when they are being used on letterman.

I do believe that some stickers have been done correctly, but for me, I would much prefer a trapped signature than a sticker.

I understand the reasoning for them, however they could at least make them aesthetically pleasing.

Once Donruss did it EVERYONE else did it

Not because its looks nice

Not because we the consumers wanted it

But because its cheaper and easier

I think SAGE started with the stickers in '98.

Stickers are not my fave and in fact many non sticker cards out-sell the stickers of the same player and same serial number.

However, Donruss was NOT the first company to use stickers.

You guys shouldn't be pointing out that Donruss was actually one of the last to start using sticker autos. This is the Anti-Donruss thread, misplaced hate only please. :D

So what do people think on how well the autos have held up on stickers so far. Anyone know of any tests where on card / sticker and foil type stickers have been tested to what holds up the best. I know you are pretty safe with any as long as they are kept out of direct light. But would be interesting to see what holds up the best when just left outmin light. See what fades the quickest. I may do one, but i'm sure it must have been done already.
