I placed a snipe on it but wasn't expecting to win it at all, considering that the last few went for around $100 with similar centering...

A whopping $77 dlvd... Burgess does strike out a lot but the kid has some serious power potential and his K rate has already gone down from last season. Only gonna get better in my opinion, especially for such a nice price.

Centering definitely brought the price down but nice card nonetheless

I'm not huge on Michael but his power is something to be recognized. He is very raw but if he can harness his talent that card can easily triple.

Looking at the centering.... I can see why it went for $77.

But wasnt this THE card to have when the product came out.... he seems to be one of those.... forgotten prospects I hear so much about. New product comes out and a few are left behind.... or they dont live up to the hype..... but people keep buying into these guys.

Like I said above, the one that went for $99 dlvd earlier had similar centering. But I wouldn't exactly say he hasn't lived up to the hype... still so young that it's hard to tell. But I agree, he has become somewhat forgotten compared to last year.

He has definitely fallen off the face of the prospect earth because i swear that card was over 400 raw for a good 2 months when the product came out.

In my opinion that is a great buy and can easy quadruple since power hitters sell well and he has tremendous raw power if nothing else

I sold an OC one like that for $400 last season. Crazy how those have completely fallen off the face of the planet.

I remember back on beckett some guy said he would be buying 10-15 Burgess golds back when they were $300-400.

I'm a fan of his, but his average is awful.

I agree on the average part but a guy with that much power only needs a few hot weeks of HRS to get some more hype and that card could easily double at least. I'd say there always seems to be prospects like this in a set but Burgess ofers great potential return. Relatively low risk (due to a low buy in price) to a great reward. I'd say good buy.
