The Tetralogy of Fallot is pretty gnarly. But, you can never underestimate the power of medicine. Good luck.

I will second that. Never underestimate the power of medicine. It is amazing the work that heart doctors can do nowadays. And as equally important, never underestimate the resiliency of infants. You wouldn't think a human under 10 pounds can put up a good fight but they definitely do.

I can relate to what you are going through. When my first child was born, her small intestines were jumbled up so bad that nothing could pass through. She would feed and then black junk would come out through her nose minutes later. The doctors successfully operated on her. This sounds stupid but I appreciated changing her diapers every time until she grew out of them. Now she is eight years old and has me wrapped around her finger.

Best of luck to you, your wife and most of all your son. Hopefully, this bad time now will allow you to appreciate the better times that are ahead even more.

Guys His Name is

Noah Franklin Chavers

and while the tetraology is pretty bad it is the most fixable congenial heart poroblem. I know it seems bad but this hospital does about 200 of these a year down here for this problem with a 98% sucess rate.

Its a blessing that I work only minutes from a hospital that specializes in these operations.

John,
Best of luck, hope everything goes well. My 7-year old came home last night from Children's Hospital in DC after spending the better part of the past 5 days in hospitals. I can empathize with how you are feeling. Children's Hospital tend to be top notch so you are at the right place.
