Kyle Lohse?

7-2 with a 2.41 ERA in 12 starts. .988 WHIP.

I'd say Hamels & Lohse are very close. Hamels has the ever so slight edge in WHIP & K:BB.

It's not that close between Lohse and Hamels. It would surprise me if Lohse keeps this up.

It's much closer between Hamels and Jurrjens. It would not surprise me if Jurrjens or Hamels ends up winning the Cy Young.

And Jurrjens is not a one year wonder. He's got great stuff and has for the past couple years. But I would take Hamels over him if I had to pick a pitcher to start Game 1 of the WS.

The question is still 'best pitcher in NL so far' ? Not quite sure when i read some posts...

It's a long run till October...

But Hamels and Jurrens are very impressive and one of these 2 would win if the season ends now.

Halladay, Lohse and even Charlie Morton should be considered also.
