Good day at the game today, my camera battery is dead- apparently I left it on for a while :x- but it was hat giveaway day, nice all black hat. Got Capps and Revere on the brim, Jerry White on the bottom, and Capps in red on a 2011 Target Field card. Thought I was going to get Span after the Nat'l anthems since he made eye contact during warmups, but did get Revere then.

There MIGHT be a Lew Ford signing courtesy of someone on Neshek's, but IDK right now. They are thinking $5 per item, so I will get a ROMLB and a card signed.

Wrote to Killebrew last night. A real simple letter, and sent it to his Charity (no mention of baseball, or autographs. Just a get well letter)

Funny how Bautista has no problem crushing balls out of TF. But Morneau and Mauer complain that it's too hard and fences need to be moved.
Man this team is brutal. I thought bullpen was gonna be weak, but it looks like it is complete garbage. Call some guys up from Red Wings. Like Gutierez and Gibson. Give The DINK a chance. Send a few of these guys down and shake it up.

I have to be at my grandpa's birthday celebration the first game, and I am sure they want me to hang around the day of the second game because his family is going to be here, but I should hopefully get up for the third game

Here's some new pick ups via Topps Diamond giveaway. I've been trying to trade off my junk stuff for team Checklist cards. All of mine from the 70's are beat up and marked on the back, so I've been slowly trying to upgrade and fill in holes. Here's what I received yesterday.

The 76 (both the Twins and the Cardinals one) look pack fresh! Very pleased with what I got there. I don't even mind the 68 being OC, the color looks good, and the corners are better than most 68s I have. Funny thing, on the back of the 1980, there are four blocks checked off on the back! Still trying to get others. I now have an extra 77 that is in very nice shape, if anyone is interested.

I like the vintage Greg. I have a Mauer Die-Cut in my portfolio but I think I'm gonna wait a little while to ship it to me since I'm sure I'll be putting in more codes once Series 2 comes out. Haven't gotten anything spectacular lately for my Span PC but I should have a couple in that I recentley purchased sometime next week. Anybody plan on cracking any 2011 Bowman? I have a Jumbo coming in from Andrew but other than that I'll probably stick to retail and singles if I can find any around here.

I forgot to mention I got my Mauer die cut delivered too. Thicker than I thought it would be! Now to get a Black Diamond! And I'm with you: I haven't bought anymore Series One because I know Series Two is around the corner, and I'll get more codes that way (without getting more of the same cards.)

Yeah I finished my Series 1 set a long time ago. I had so many extras that I started putting together a 2nd set and only need a handful more. I have been trying to work on the Diamond set and am about 2/3 of the way but I figured that would take me awhile to complete.

On a side note I FINALLY found some Bowman today. Bought 2 Blasters (keeping 1 sealed to see how it goes) and 8 Rack Packs. I did the Bowman set last year and probably will this year as well. Pulled 1 Harper Chrome and a Michael Choice Auto. Had a lot of fun opening it and can't wait to get my jumbo box hopefully by Saturday.
