I think a lot of it has to do with the points you mentioned. He's extremely affordable to collect. He's a decent player. And he's a likable nice guy.

I just wish he had more cards to collect that weren't base. I'm not a big base card fan or just plain GU. And besides those and his rookie cards there's really not much out there it seems like. Topps Triple Threads and that's about it.

Very true. Triple Threads this last year was his first real "high-end" card that he's had. I do have to say though that because he only has mostly base it has become a lot harder for me to find stuff that I need. Mostly low-numbered parallels.

Those are some nice cards, Lally. It just seems like every time I check eBay for him (which admittedly isn't super often) it's 95% base cards with some rookies mixed in and low end GU. The TTT cards are the only "nice" cards I've seemed to see of his on eBay lately. Probably because all his other nice stuff is currently in your PC.

Very nice! I have one of those SPx Patches too. I love the RC plate and the Button Jersey Auto.

So does all this mean that you guys are going to start your own "Denard Span Collector's Thread?" Seems like every other player has their own collector's thread these days. (and thanks for the trade, Tommy. Glad to be able to contribute to the collection.)

My bigger Span cards are in my sig, pretty sure that's the only auto'd plate of him, since the guy that got it signed for me said that Span had never seen one before. Is Yoshi in any checklists yet this year? Also might try to send a generic Twins stadium card to him TTM, but have to know what dialect or whatever of Japanese he speaks to translate the letter

Anyone here pick up the WW or Wood 1/1 TTT autos?

Idk who got them but the same person got the WW and the Wood 1/1. Way out of my price range though as I believe they both went for about $200+. The Platinum 1/1 got close to $400. I can check when I get home to see.

Are we still talking about Denard Span? Cause I don't see any completed listings for anything in that price range.

Here's a picture of the Span WW from the seller's PB, or one of them

I love people and their crazy BIN listings. Pricing the TTT cards at $40-60. When they sell for like $15-20 at auction.

Don't think it will work to translate a letter to Japanese and send it to Yoshi, going back and forth on a translator

A quick non-Span related question...

I sent something off for a signing up in the cities for Scott Baker... It is his ticket stub from a game where he pitched 6 innings no-hit.

If they will let me inscribe it, what should I have it inscribed with?

Wonder how Baker signing will do. Anybody going. Would be cool to get Baker on his Ginter card. I just go with date on tix. Seems FAN HQ crushes on those if they keep prices cheap. If they bring in Nishi at say $25 per graph they sell out 400 tickets I bet.
