I posted my 2011 Bowman stash sometime last week, now I can finally post all of my other recent pickups over the last 3 or so weeks. Enjoy!

Really happy to pick up the Seth Blair Gold Refractor. He is from my hometown of Rock Falls, IL. Also happy with the couple older Span's that I needed. The Heritage Chrome Refractor RC, the Gold Refractor which I still needed, and the USA Blue Ink Auto. On a side note, has anybody noticed how much Gibson's prices are dropping? I think it's to the point now that they could be a really good buy, for cheap PC or even a nice flip. Chrome Auto's are down to about $10 DLVD and I picked up the Sterling Gold Refractor for only $7.

Just a question, why do you collect Seth Blair? (just curious).

He's from the town I was born in Rock Falls, IL. Very small town. I have my mom's side of the family in that area and they are big fans of his, and I thought it would be cool to PC someone who isn't on the Twins. I also have a small PC of Jason Heyward.

Ahh. That's cool! Kinda why I started my Kingery collection, and will be collecting a kid from Willmar if he ever gets cards.

Yeah it's pretty fun. It's probably unlikely but there is also another chance that I could start another local PC in a few years.. Rodney Williams. He plays basketball for the Gophers right now. I went to high school with him for 3 years. Would be pretty cool if he got drafted but his hype has cooled down the last year or two.

Justin "Big *****" Morneau out 6 weeks.
Can we just rid ourselves of this loser?

I'm starting to think we should but there's probably nobody that would take him now... and we wouldn't want to rid him when his value is so low. If they do start having Mauer play a couple games here and there at first I think it's gonna start making that Ramos for Capps trade look pretty bad. I never wanted to move him with his offensive potential.

I wasn't expecting any of the Gophers who got drafted last year to have cards. I really hope Justin Gominsky has Gopher cards this year.

I guess basketball has a different draft though.

Yeah I think it's cool that Kvasnicka, Rosin, and Knudson all have some cards, and I actually just picked up another Knudson the other day on ebay that should hopefully be here Monday. Don't think this years crop will have anything though, they all seemed to go really late in the draft. And yeah basketball is a much different story. Only 60 players drafted unlike the hundreds in baseball.

I may be in the minority, but I think we need to keep Morneau. When he's even 80%, he's too good for us to let go. Let see how he plays after th neck surgery, and go from there.

I haven't picked up any Knudson stuff since someone got me an IP pocket schedule. Not much I really need, but I have to go through and find everything and re-gather the collection and start sending it to BGS.

I really hope out of all the Gophers, Gominsky gets cards. Second would be Pettersen, but I am not holding my breath on either, since Panini doesn't hold an NCAA license anymore.

Well... I am not going to a game next week. I was really hoping too.

Grandpa didn't want to go (I understand why, and it's totally ok). I kinda expected him to say no, and we didn't order tickets so we aren't out anything.

I might try to go see the Rangers later on in the summer with my dad or something.

So I imagine one of two things then, either A) hes been less than 80% the 55 games he played this year, as 4 homers and 20 rbis is ****!!! or B) he's been better than 80% and is still a piece of ****!!! Which is it this year?

2009 - Back
2010 - Head
2011 - Wrist and now Neck

Vicious cycle of injuries starting, hes not getting any younger, this is just going to keep happening year after year.
Cut your losses now, get something in return sooner rather than later IMO.

Time for Mauer to move to first, and have Butera and Rivera rotate who starts, Thome pinch hits, and the other is the defensive replacement

Have any of you Twins fans seen or even better; know where to locate one of the Eddie Rosario 2010 Bowman Draft Red Refractors /5?
Thanks

Well you can add Delmon to the continuing list of injuries. Just when things were starting to look bright we lose 3 straight (looking more like 4), lose Morneau, and now Delmon.

What happened with Delmon? Wasn't watching the game

Misread the ball off the bat, ran back and just missed the ball and crashed his ankle into the wall. They said on FSN that it's a sprain but nothing more. Betancourt got an inside-the-park HR on the play.
