Twins ain't going to do **** and that is why they will fail.

If they could get something for Span, they should. Already rather have Revere out there and he is only going to get better.

He better start lifting some weights or something though, his arm sucks

Agree here.

I will not allow myself to be optimistic of winning the division again this season. I just want to finish over .500 and if we lose span(as much as I like him) I'm happier with Revere. Rather Move span then Cuddy

Really wish Weber and Decker had a 8*10 printable photo to send to the Broncos. Anyone really good with photoshop that could make a custom card of the two?

Of the 5 OFs (Cuddyer, Kubel, Young, Revere, and Span), I think the Twins need to keep Cuddyer, Kubel, and Revere. Keep Cuddyer as he's a solid player both offensively and defensively (pitching too) and is very much one of the faces of the Twins organization. Keep Kubel over Young. Both hit and both are liabilities to an extent in the field. Young is too much of a head case. And while I like Span, he is replacable and Revere looks to be solid though with zero arm and zero power.

And thanks for posting all of the area signings.

Everyone's forgetting about Plouffe as an outfielder too. Probably the best bower hitter of the 6, and has a great arm when he can actually unleash without having to worry about throwing it into the fifth row behind the dugout

Maybe with how crappy the Twins pitching is they should just move an infielder to be a fourth outfielder? They're stacked enough to do it

I'm just curious as to why people think it's a good idea to trade Span? I know I'm biased since he's my favorite player so I guess I'm really just looking for someone to convince me why I'm wrong. Here's a couple questions/comments that I have been thinking of..

1) Why trade Span when he's a young, proven major league CF who is a good leadoff batter? It's not like he's old enough to say we are trading to rebuild, he's still young.

2) Anybody who says that Revere is a better option than Span really needs to think hard about that. I really like Revere's potential, but nothing more than a mediocre Major Leaguer who should hit 8th or 9th in the lineup, not leadoff. His arm in CF is the worse thing I have ever seen, and if anybody has watched him play the last few weeks have seen him hit weak choppers/grounders in the infield all day long. He has zero extra base potential, just a slap singles hitter.

3) If we can get anything for Young or Kubel, they need to be gone. Kubel won't be coming back at the end of the year and we can get a decent prospect for him. Young just straight needs to leave, and that opens up a spot in LF for Revere (better suits his arm).

Span also has a 5 year $14 mil contract, or something like that, signed for a while and pretty cheap. Twins starting lineup with who they have now should be

C Butera
1B Mauer
2B Hughes
SS Casilla
3B Cuddyer
LF Revere
CF Span
RF Plouffe
DH Young/Kubel/Thome

That is a very weak lineup. If you have kubel, young, and thome healthy, you need to have atleast 2 of those 3 in the lineup every day. Thats just for starters

I agree. No way you have Butera playing everyday, even if Mauer needs some days off he still needs to be the starting catcher. And you can't move Cuddyer to 3B even if he can play there. Valencia needs to work on hitting the ball the other way and then he will become a better hitter.

Completely forgot Valencia :( Time for a redo for a healthy lineup

CF Span
2B Cuddyer
DH Kubel
1B Morneau
3B Valencia
LF Young
C Mauer
SS Casilla
RF Revere

Bench: Butera, Thome, Plouffe, Nishioka- unless he gets demoted
