Nice stuff GB. Pretty cool Span did his full name auto for you on photo. Didn't someone here get him to do that on a Ginter card? can't remember who.
One of best parts of signings is always seeing what people are getting done.
TB you get any video or pics from Perk signing.

I just got home.. Got through the Span line twice so I will have some pics up later of what I got. Also kinda stole TB's idea and took a video of the second time I was through, might upload that too. Also stopped by the Vally West show and picked up a couple cards, nothing special though. It was my first time there (never knew about it) but I will definitely go back next time to try to complete some stuff I'm working on and hopefully grab some nice stuff. Will either have scans tonight or tomorrow as I'll be heading down to the game again today.

I am home. I got a pic done on the drive... John Gordon signed Homer Hanky. Bought the Hanky for a whopping 2 bucks. The guy tried selling me a Herb Carneal SS OMLB and a ton of posters to get signed instead. I found it under a pile of cheap stuff... Signed in a Lumocolor. I was going to get it done in Pen but this makes the signature bolder. He had a Fellowship of Christian Athletes collection he was taking. I donated a couple bucks for the sig/inscription. Next go-around is going to be big time for me on the graphing stage. Going to get a signed jersey.

I will get more pics up later. I am tired and the new car is dead so we have to jump it. Def. will be up by tonight.

How did everyone's signings go? My 3 went smooth.

Pavano/Oliva - Got there at 910 for a 10-1130 signing, I was at least 300 deep so I left as they only guaranteed 200 autos, they handed out vouchers. So stop 1 was a fail

Span - Didnt have anything to do until the Span signing started at 1130, so I just went to Sports Authority and sat in line. Was maybe 50 deep when I got there, got a Ginter signed. Span was late, but was talkative and cordial. Stop 2, success

Perkins - Got done with Span and headed to AV for Perkins. As I expected, I walked in and right up and got a Turkey Red and mini helmet signed. Perkins was the least ******* he has ever been, nice job Perk!!! Stop 3, success

John Gordon and Buzz Schneider - Gordon was awesome, very talkative and shaking hands with everyone. Buzz was just as nice, I will post a pic of my puck I got signed, Buzz put a couple inscriptions on there on his own, I didnt ask for any, but love them. Stop 4, success

Morris/Gladden/Erickson - Only one I really wanted was Erickson he was the 2-3 scheduled signer. I got there at 2, knew the lines would be long, pulled in and they were too long for my liking, so I left, couldnt stand being in any more lines today. Stop 5, fail

Wife went to Cuddyer/Butera, got there 1:15 prior to signing, was estimated to be about 200 back, she got shutout, about 10 back.

Looking back, I bit off more than I could chew. I should have done the Cuddy/Butera, then went to Perk if there was time, then Buzz was a must and I knew that would be a piece of cake, then I probably could have handled standing at Mauer Chevy for Erickson.

So I put the day at a 50/50 success to fail ratio.

I bought another Cuddy game used bat while in line for the Bobbles since they were only 150$ and you got a placque with it free that they usually sell for 120$. already sold the placque to get some of my money back. Well here is some of my successes from today. My other Cuddy Gamer bat will be for sale now. I like this one much better. Oh and my extra John Gordon Balls will be for sale or trade if anyones interested.

Cuddy Gamer - Love the imprint of the inaugural season ball on this one and after checking the mlb auth sticker I found out the bat cracked on a hit.

I'm pretty sure I was right there sitting in front of you. Do you remember 2 people sitting on a blanket?

Ya I do actually at the game waiting for bobbles? All those people near me were from the Neshek boards. I would have been more cordial if I knew you were from these forums. 3 of us standing there ended up getting Cuddy gamers that day haha

Here was my experiences...

We left town around 7-7:30. Got to Best Buy an hour early and were the first ones there. We walked around for half an hour, and then hopped in line. The line was literally gone in 15 minutes. We hopped back in line again and got 2 more cards signed. 4/4. I thought about asking for a signed, and un-signed photo but I didn't want to be greedy. I got what I came for. We bought something to drink, and a GoPhone, and left. I was observing Perk afterwords, and he was great. He was talking, shaking hands, laughing... It was really cool to see. As soon as we got in the car, I turned the phone on and checked facebook. The Gophers posted a StarTrib article on him and that was a fun read. I picked up that paper tonight too.

The show was a success. Not as large as I thought, but very cool (I hadn't been here before so I didn't know what to expect). I saw a lot of collectors that were familiar to me from the Morton show. As I said, no meetings with FCB members (although none of you probably want to meet me anyways  I don't know for sure, I am just joking around).

Walked in not expecting Gordon to be there. Immediately walked to the table on the end, and asked what I could get for him to sign. Guy pulled out a Herb Carneal OMLB SS for $75. I said that's too much, so he was offering posters. That didn't really strike my interest so I grabbed an '87 Hanky off one of his piles. $2 for that and I donated $2 for his box he had.

Bought junk, bought junk, bought junk, and got Buzz to sign a puck.

Bought junk, bought junk, and more junk.

Ended up walking down the string with my dad, and we started talking too the dealers. One happened to be the Assistant Coach at St. Cloud State (Baseball). He had just retired. Fairly cool guy to talk too.

Overall it was fun. More pics to come tonight. No auto vids. Next time there will be. We are making plans to attend the next show, and I will start putting away for it on Wednesday. Won't bring a ton because I am more concerned with TwinsFest, but looking at the auto line up, I am going to need to attend it.

I gotta say, between the Earl Brown, the Valley West, and all the public signings and shops, TC is the place to be...

Nice stuff Mud. Cuddy say anything about the pitching photo? That looks sweet. The game used bat with Twins TF logo ball transfer is about as good as it gets.

Who would have ever thought we would be getting reports Perkins is getting a little more fan friendly. Looks like he had a bad game tonight. His numbers this year have been great. He probably knows he has chance to get paid this off season.
