Here's an article from La Velle about the Twins top prospects this year, anybody follow them? This year I have actually really followed them to see how our system has been playing. It's actually been pretty fun checking up on them and reading box scores every night, I suppose you can say all of the prospectors on FCB got me into paying more attention. Anyway I was very happy to see Angel Morales make the list. He missed the first half of the year but since coming back has been doing pretty good. Anyone have any predictions for his Top 5 tomorrow? I'll take a stab at it:

5) Aaron Hicks - Still hasn't shown the power potential and the last couple weeks he has been awful at the plate, but there is still plenty to like here. Future Outfielder for us. Maybe not the top prospect we want out of him, but I think he can still be an everyday player someday.
4) Oswaldo Arcia - Really like what he has shown this year. Showed a ton of potential at Beloit, got injured, and then after coming back was sent to Fort Myers. Playing A+, 20 years old, Slugging .558 on the year, I see a potential power bat here. Again another Outfielder.
3) Miguel Sano - I think he will eventually be our #1 prospect, but I'm taking a guess at where La Velle will have them. Only 18 years old and hitting very well at Elizabethton. Defense has been horrible this year (something like 22 errors in 47 games), but I think he will get better with more practice. Will eventually be moved from 3B. We all know about his potential...
2) Liam Hendriks - Very impressed with him this year. Has taken over Gibson as the top pitching prospect and looks very solid. Not the #1 that we need, but could develop into a solid #2-#3 starter. I haven't followed him as much as others this year, but I like what I see.
1) Joe Benson - Was briefly injured this year but has been very strong. Should be at Rochester right now I believe and he is our closest 5-tool talent that we have. Should be up sometime next year, and I think he will be pretty good. Current stats: .297 Avg., 10 HR, 46 RBI, .388 OBP, .493 SLG, 13 SB

Don't have the Cuddy in front of me. I know it's not #5. Still trying to pick up Kubel Ginter autos when they go cheap.

So Gibson may drop out of top 5 prospects now with his arm injury. I'd like to see Twins give Benson some time in September. He is older, why not give him a look.
Sano could be #1, hope he is the big power bat for the team down the road.

Crap I missed it.

I had fun at the game last night. Graphed 2/3rds of the team afterwords, including the assistant coach who was drafted by the Twins in the '90s I think.

For all you Gopher fans, Justin Gominsky has been beastin' in the NYPL and made it to the All-Star game out there... He is really cool. I wish I would have stayed and chatted with him at the last game I was at.

Jordan Smith also made it, but on the other team. He is a Willmar Native, and a St. Cloud University Standout, so it's kinda hard to decide who to root for...

Finally found the set after an hour of searching. I've got Pavano and Casilla signed, I think I have Neshek signed, I'll have to find my stack of his signed cards and make sure. The others are Joe Mauer, Anthony Swarzak, J.J. Hardy, Scott Baker, Denard Span, Jason Kubel, Joe Nathan, Nick Blackburn, Michael Cuddyer, Glen Perkins, Delmon Young, Nick Punto, Francisco Liriano, and Justin Morneau.

Anyone have the Neshek signed from the set? I think I either gave it away or it was one of the ones I sent him when he kept those and sent back 4 minor league cards signed

Were those Target Field stamp cards only were avaliable at the Stadium. What was retail price on them for set when they came out. Probably a real short print run on them. Maybe a 1k??

I can't remember if they were $8 or 9 for the set. They may have been available at the pro shops too?

Stadium and pro-shop. Same with the 2009 set.

They were the only things worth buying at the gift shop.
