Who goes down for Morneau? Plouffe with his .286 OBP and 13 BB/12 K and no options, Parmelee with a .250 OBP 5 BB 21 K and options with a 1B coming back, or Mastroanni batting 3/14 with options?

Plouffe's on base percentage is pretty solid and his throwing has improved, he's hitting the ball hard so a couple more tweaks to his swing and he could finally start hitting it where fielders aren't.

Slama should get the call soon, walks are a little high, but should be something he can fix, even just with Mauer catching he should do better. AAA this year: 14 G, 17.2 IP, 9 hits, 1 run, 11 BB, 28 Ks

How is it that every other team's players can hit HR's @ Target Field and the Twins players can barely get it outta the infield. Ugh ... :(

Not the biggest fan of FanNation on SI, but this was on there today and echos your statement:

"Alfonso Soriano may have the worst contract in baseball, but he's only signed for three more years, something the Twins might wish for one-time hometown hero Joe Mauer. He's a swell fella. Great role model. But his eight-year, $184 million contract is the biggest albatross on any payroll in baseball. Mauer, who just two years ago was considered the finest catcher in baseball, now can barely stay healthy enough to catch, let alone hit for power. The only thing considered softer than this demeanor is his batting average. He is hitting.286 and has hit just one homer. Incredibly, he has hit only two home runs in 460 at-bats at Target Field since his new contract. Toronto's Jose Bautista has 10 in just 47 at-bats at Target Field."

We are stuck with Joe and his $23 million per year for another 6 years :-(

I'm trying to plan my summer graphing season... so far I have Wild Road Trip and 2 NWL signings.

Does anyone happen to know anything about Twins Fun Night? I haven't gone in 6 years, but I read it's an annual event. I can't find any dates/times/appearances so I figured I would ask.

I wish they still did the autograph party, that was one of the biggest events of my summer.

Nice start to the game, Blackburn hopefully can make it at least one time through without giving up any runs. Ump's strike zone seemed to really favor the low pitches on Doumit and Morneau though, but the camera seems to be closer than normal home game.
