1. Nostalgia.
2. Besides TF, I have nothing to compare it too.

1. Nostalgia. (I can kinda see that)
2. Besides TF, I have nothing to compare it too. (If you have been to TF, then the Dome should be #2 Baseball outside and site lines in line with the field, not pointing out to nowhere)
3. You are 8 or less hours (drive time) from 5 other parks (Milwaukee, Cubs, White Sox, KC, St. Louis). Save up some $$$, get a group of friends together and RT to these parks (3 day weekend), do it while your young, trust me, you wont regret it if you can do it financially.
One example I can give you that 3 of us did years ago when we went on our quest to see a game at ever park:
Left the Twin Cities Friday AM, drove to Youngstown OH (about 14 hours), stayed with some of my family. Got up Saturday AM, went to a 1pm game at Three Rivers in Pittsburgh. Drove from Pitts to Toledo OH, stayed with a friends family. Got up Sunday AM, drove to Milwaukee for an afternoon game, then drove back to the Cities. Yes it was a lot of time in the car, but we drove an equivalent of 30 hours in the span of 60+ hours to see 2 games, but it was all about the passion of going to these outdoor ballparks, enjoying the weather, seeing baseball the way it was meant to be played and seen, outside. Granted we had family we could stay with, but if you budget correctly, get enough friends (3-4 max, trust me) :lol: you can do it on a reasonable budget. Figure it will cost you each $200-250 to see a game in KC and St Louis if you were to start off from your hometown. Its about a 1300 mile RT. Our St Paul to Pittsburgh and back thru Milwaukee was over 1700 miles.
Book rooms at the Super 8, Motel 6, Days Inn, the reasonable hotels. One room at a $100 hotel is $25 - 33 per person, multiply that by 2 nights and you are at $50 - 65 per person.
Gas, lets say you get 20 miles a gallon. Thats 62 gallons. Lets take a round number of $4 per gallon. Thats $260 total. Divide that by 3 or 4 and you get $65 - 85 per person.
Ballpark tickets, get the cheap ones, heck, even off of stub hub. You are at the park, you are going to want to walk around the stadium and get different views of the game. Spend no more than $30 for your two tickets.
So you are at $145 - $180 for gas, lodging and tickets.
You are young, you live off of mountain dew and mcdonalds. So food on the road and at the park will be minimal, lets just say $50 or less. So you are up to $195 - 230
See, easy to do, get the right guys and you will have a blast.
Again, trust me, I did this 5x, 5 summers in a row.

I like this Chris! This summer my mom, sister, and I are going to be making a roadtrip, but it won't be as quick as yours will. We don't know for sure yet if we are going to all of these places, but right now it is the plan. I don't know the order yet but we will be going to Target Field, Miller Park, US Cellular, Wrigley Field, and then a Kernels game, all in one week. We might have to skip out on the Brewers though since they are only home Friday-Sunday of the first weekend, but we might go there on Sunday if I can talk the family into it. Cedar Rapids would probably take us 1-2 days there since we have a lot of family in the area. If we do go to the Sunday game in Milwaukee, it would be Carlos Gomez Bobblehead Day

Oh, I totally get all of that. I'd love to do a trip like that someday, but it all comes down to the extra cash (and time, to an extent).
