Probably in 1992, after he joined the Angels. Leaving the Twins was a big change, and he was going through a lot of personal changes--spiritual growth, his marriage was in trouble, etc. I think he changed his sig to make a fresh start. I have a 1993 Topps with the Circle G, and I think that's as late as I'll ever find. New Topps used to come out around Thanksgiving back then, so it's possible to date it around late 1992. Anything he signs now is the "Cursive G."

Wicked Nick is back. I hope he regains his stuff, he has been a money pitcher down strech before. Baker looked good tonight.

I'm a little nervous for him since he will be up against Texas. Hopefully his sinker is working and he can get ground balls. The bats better be ready tonight, I see a high-scoring game.

When did his sig change? I got him last year IP and his sig was more cursive-y than what you show...

Nice stuff though! I only have him on a SS ball (blue sharpie  but it hasn't faded as much as some of my pen sigs have)

I am expecting a Perk Blue Ref and an insert/999 today, but my grandma was admitted into the hospital today, so I have to go bring her stuff to her, so unless the mail came already, I won't get it. That is about 2.5 hours round trip. I may stop at a card shop and see what I can find.

GC what do you think of seller with all those circle G autos on ebay. They look legit to you?
Anyone know when Cuddy changed his sig for the better? I was just looking at my Twins IP or TTM autos and have old style Cuddy on 2002 card. Looked on EBay and appears it may have been around 2005 he changed to amzing sig he has now.

Just picked this guy up - I've decided to dedicate as much to my Twins collection as my Vikings collection. Hope he's healthy soon.

You mean kylesportscards? He sure has a lot of stuff up! (after looking through 12 pages I quit looking!) The Gaettis look good to me. Not too many folks would fake his old auto--I'd think they'd look at his current auto to forge. Besides, why forge Gary Gaetti?

I'm thinking about biting on the 86 Fleer he has up. That fills a Fleer hole in the 80's I have. Maybe the 87 Fleer too. Sometimes I upgrade if I find a better looking one.

Not sure about Cuddy's auto. He has a Bowman auto in 99 (I think) and it's really scribbly. His current auto is much nicer. Torii Hunter's early autos were fairly sloppy too, but they got neater as the years went on. I think Harmon Killebrew took them aside and taught them how to take pride in their signature.

Nice Morneau, Slette. His early autos are pretty easy to tell, since he's almost always added is number. Back when he was a prospect, he was probably wearing #77 or something! If it has a 27, it's an early auto. Justin has a very nice, distinctive "J" and crossing the "t" in "Justin". The "Morneau" has always been a big "M" with a wavy line. Not so pretty.

I could turn this into an autograph analysis/critique for the Twins! But I'll spare everyone that boredom! :ugeek:

I had heard that about Killebrew, too - taking the time to teach young Twins to take pride in their signature, saying it would reflect well on them. Johan was another Twin with a beautiful sig.

yeah, Johan has sweet looking graph.
Cuddy I don't think has had a cert since he changed to his current auto.

Interesting how that 2002 card lists him as a first baseman!

I wonder how many different cards have him at different positions. I know his Rookie cards have him at SS. I'm sure he probably has RF, 1B, and maybe even 3B. Pretty cool.

I got 34 Perks in yesterday...

I needed 4 (I believe)

1 was an Artifacts RC (I might have had it)

the other three were Ft. Myers Team Set Cards, one of which was inked.

Now I need to prospect stash for TwinsFest... I have a McCallum, but that's about it...

Did you happen to pull any Twins from your Tristar box?

I did, I can't remember who and I forgot where I put them. They go in the prospect stash for TwinsFest as I never have anything for those guys and they don't get a list out early enough. I remember I pulled 2... I have to find everything because I have to ship a Justin Masterson out of the set.

Well see if Dunce can stop the Texas bleeding tonight. Any word on when Morneau is coming back.

I hope sometime soon, but I had heard he was fainting when doing full strength baseball activities. I wish him the best and look forward to him at 100%. You never know when its a head injury, some bounce back in 2 days, some take years.
