Morneau, better numbers in every category.

I personally think Morales has been the MVP of the Angels hands down, and with no one of the Red Sox or Yankees standing out, he has a chance...

Also, Aaron Hill has to be up there.

I think Longoria or Bartlett are better MVP candidates than Zobrist, especially considering defensive value.

Wouldn't surprise me if Mauer ends up winning though. I'd say it's a pretty open race right now, no real front runner.

Joe Mauer? He is 2nd in batting, 1st in OBP, and 1st in SLG%, all while playing great defense at catcher.

I can see the argument for Bartlett over Zobrist. I don't see one for Evan, especially with the slump he has hit. Like I said, I can't answer it without bias. I know he probably isn't the best candidate, but I'll support him the whole way haha.

Part bias, but the numbers don't lie.

Morneau:

BA .308
28 HR (1st in AL)
86 RBI (1st in AL)

Still on pace for 40HR & 120 RBI

But the Twins making the playoffs or not will definetly be weighed out

Longoria? Are you serious? Zobrist means much more imo.

I agree. I think Mauer brings more to the team as far as intangibles go than Morneau. Both are pretty sweet players though!

Mauer easily... AL leading OPS of 1.015 from the Catcher position...plus defense

morales is doing well but he's not even top 5

Mauer has top VORP in the league, with Zobrist and Morneau a close second and third.

However, sports writers are too stupid to figure anything out other than who wins the division with the highest BA, HRs and RBI. Give me a ******* break.

Yeah but we can all agree that Longo will end up with better numbers than Zobrist.

He has a lot of work to do that catch what Zobrist is doing. He won't put up better numbers unless Zobrist hits a wall.

Yeah but do you really think Longo will have another terrible month, I could see Longo hitting around .290 with 35 hr this year. All he needs to do is get hot again.
