The Red Sox 2 best players come through for a run!

It's amusing that this team was able to score prior to the allstar break without Martinez. I hope the sox just sign him long term this offseason

I saw on MLB network, Angels have never won a postseason series where they won the first game!?

The Angel's pitching is not this good......my Sox just flat out suck.

Pathetic lineup that can't hit crap. Papi needs to be traded in the off-season and we need a real short stop and that is just for starters. Look to get Matsui from the Yankees as our new DH. Thanks for the memories Papi. We need some new blood, JD drew would be long gone as well.

They won't trade Ortiz, no one will give anything for him or take his salary. They are just going to have to have him split time with someone at DH. I would be ok with a Gonzalez/Lowrie SS combination for the season, assuming they keep a bat in LF. The only problem is that it looks like you could have Varitek and Ortiz both sitting and taking bench spots while making good money

Last three post season games the Sox have scored 1 run in 25 innings. Pretty much the same team top to bottom.

The offense is lifeless on the road. But if they find some way to steal this game in LA they are set up very well.

Josh Beckett is really looking like the best big game pitcher in the league. ;)

SB's kill the sox, what's new. ::facepalm::

The no name players kill the sox too......the walk to the named player, then the no name pinch runner then the nobody gets a hit then the super nobody gets a bigger hit.

they just said "Tito Franco knows Beckett, he has plenty left in his tank" yeah god freaking forbid you call the bullpen that hasn't pitched in a week.

I can't wait until the sox are swept, they had no chance whatsoever against the yanks.

Cause a walk and then falling behind 3-0 along with the fact that he didn't have control of his curve all night means he has so much left in the tank. The pen has been the best in baseball. Why not let Wagner come in and then turn it over to Okajima or Bard. Gutless performance by the offense thus far
