Hoping Joe Saunders wins tonight threw him even though he is going to put up a high whip/era, knowing Carl Pavano is 10x worse than he is. That hit should've been a error on Gary though, it hit right in his glove, Torri Hunter needs to come back already.

The angels are really dumb for not getting Halladay for this guy, im actually laughing.

saunders wasn't the guy the angels were having a hard time moving, it was aybar and a couple of the higher ceiling prospects. honestly, i hope the angels stand pat...halladay is a stud but he has a lot of innings on his arm and he could sh** the bed anytime now.

Put Sean Rodriguez at SS, kid needs a chance eventually he even showed some pop while up. Halladay becomes the angels go to guy with Lackey. Joe Saunders is a big time scrub, he has lost it completely, no clue what happen as he started out 8-3? It is almost like hes afraid to throw strikes for fearing the will take him yard, he then gets in bad pitchers counts and gets taken yard or walks the entire team in.

I have spoken up many times about Saunders. I think he is garbage. Along with be the biggest jag-off in the Angels 2004 minor league system. Him and Napoli were big time tool bags.....At least Napoli is playing well. It is is too bad that all of those guys couldn't have been as cool as Howie Kendrick and Ervin Santana....

rodriguez is far from ready, and doubt if he ever will be. If Figgins leaves next year the hole is even bigger.

sean rodriguez is in no way ready to be a mlb regular...he strikes out once every 3 ab's in AAA

Aybar right not is probably in the top 5 at short, with only Jeter, Hanley and maybe bartlett ahead of him. Oh and he is cheap

Does anyone outside Anaheim think that? I am not disagreeing, because I have a big Aybar fan. I just have heard very little about him on a national level this year... I would have to say Tulowitzki and his 30+ HR pace is ahead of Aybar also....

Ok well I am sure the Angels can find a way to fill the hole with someone that can play, don't they have 5 very good outfielders?

Matthews/Vlad/Rivera/Hunter/Bobby

Maybe trade one of these guys or move them around, all i know is Saunders(who should have 5 more losses, but the high power angels offense has bailed him out everytime, gives up around 5-6 runs a game and blows the pen up every time.)

He is in line for a win with this line:

79 PC, 5 INN, 10 HA, 2 BBI, 2 K, 4 ER, 7.200 ERA, 2.400 WHIP

Halladay would protect the angels biggest weakness, THEIR PEN!(Minus your outstanding closer and Oliver).

Aybar is not a top 5 shortstop either...

I'd take guys like Andrus, Jimmy Rollins, Stephen Drew, Theriot, Alexi, Tejeda, Yunel(Hey gilmore look I like yunel sometimes!) tulo and a few others that I can't think off the top of my head, he has a nice glove and good speed but those can be replaced. The angels would be getting one of the top 5 pitchers in the game if not the best.

BTW have any Angels fans heard about Bachanov or Il Jung? Whatever happen to these guys.

tulo is hitting .260 and only has 10 more RBI's then Aybar. and has almost 40 more at bats.

Vlad is on a downslide and who knows if and when he comes back, matthews is bad...

Aybar has better average (.320) then most those you mention and is on pace to have 8o RBI. so I think this year he would be a top 5 ss.

Why in the crap does Aybar only have 8 stolen bases....Even Tulo has 13. Tha is VERY weak for a guy that absolutley flys like Aybar....

I have a feeling he will stay in a Angel uni, he means too much and no way Moreno will let him go.

The best thing is angels develop good talent in their farm, just look at Kendry, he is = to tex in all offensive categories this year for less money, he was sitting in their minors, i am sure they have some IF talent that they can have fill in and replace aybars 60 rbis 300 avg.

Here are Saunders last 7 starts, he really is in a bad place, combine that with Ervin and you have to wonder if the Angels can run deep into a series with that pitching.
