I used to know the answer, but I can't remember it now.I think the only pertinent question at this point is how many people on this board even know who Jim Rockford is?
I think this is very very reminiscent of a time long ago.
You have a new company selling autographed memorabilia, some with, some without COAs, and "buyback" cards. These aren't sold through hobby shops, but on a limited access cable show, sold by a straight man and an insane, loud, bearded pitchman who quoted insanely inaccurate price quotes when he is opening the product on air.
Fast forward 25 years. You have a new company selling autographed memorabilia, some with, some without COAs, and "buyback" cards. These aren't sold through hobby shops, but on a limited access webTV show, sold by a straight man and an insane, loud, bearded pitchman who quotes insanely inaccurate values when opening product on air.
Your cast:
Heroes of Sport as Ken Goldin/Score Board
Gelb as "Kenny", the straight man
Blog TV as Shop at Home
and
Boomo as America's #1 pitchman, Don West.
It's really scary, that if you don't remember history, you're doomed to repeat it.
We all know how well Score Board worked out.
At least Boomo doesn't quote beckett values...or yell "GEM MINT TENNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!"
Watching Boomo last night this was ALL I could think about, felt like the old days of staying up all night just to watch those clowns. All I know is I would be losing my damn mind if I paid $159 and got the Longoria, Darvish etc..... Just sayin'

The beauty of boomo and his breaks is his honesty. He tells it like it is. You can tell he sold out on this stuff and held back. When he pulled some of those point tickets and bat cards and gem mint base cards ungraded vintage ect... He needed to let loose on how crappy they were as hits. Last case was really bad. Why it's fun watching him break, he doesn't hold back. Good and bad. This break from what I seen he wasn't the usual boomo people expect. I hope he does distance himself from this stuff and goes back doing what he does best. Tell it like it is. Not holding back to push some product out the door. Even though he got a free case breaking this stuff, in the end. He got some of his loyal customers free stuff, but move on boomo and go back to doing your thing.
I would buy Five Star over this product any day of the week, and that's saying something because five star was trash. But for $250 less you get 2 extra cards.
I haven't watched many of Boomo's breaks, but he seemed more melo yesterday than normal. IMO that's a sign that he knew this product was trash. I would bet any amount of money that the Jackie Robinson cut auto was the best hit inserted into the product and that's only an $800 item, which is barely more than a box!
As opposed to buying any other high end product and getting Marlon Byrd, Pagan or any other of the numerous low-end hits in high dollar packs?
