ITG is no fly by night outfit. Long established in the hobby, mainly hockey. Some of their products are mind blowing, but i'm not a big hockey fan. Wish they would have done the same in baseball, but i guess they didn't have the license.

ITG is a top tier hockey brand no doubt but their roots in baseball are almost nonexistant and without any kind of license it'll stay that way.

Leaf does well because of its hobby heritage. If they didnt have that they'd be lumped into the same category.

Keep feeding the unlicensed guys. When there are 50 of them, and there very well could be, then you'll see the value of licensed merchandise. Real merchandise.

Sorry for the rant...

PS does anyone have the link to the aforementioned thread about exposing case breakers? That sounds like a far more interesting read than this one lol....thanks.

Lol.. Clearly there is a difference between UNLICENSED and PLAYER LICENSED..

Long term value is not as simple as you claim.. Try finding some rare wildcard stuff (among worst of worst) ..There IS value.. You just have yo be smart and find it! BG

I don't think you can argue, Brian, that the hobby certainly prefers league and player licensed product over player licensed and unlicensed product. At least, as far as baseball is concerned. I don't know about other sports.

I haven't seen a press release from the company but I've noticed some of the online articles and Beckett categorize HOS as a "card company" or "new manufacturer". Do they plan to actually produce cards or memorabilia?

I agree with you, however I think you have to be very short sighted to see no value in player licensed product...bG
