More great pickups Jeremy, what does that put you to on the set?

"Sid" Hudson has a creepy ass photo.

Yes. Quite a few actually. It's funny because this set is really small and most of it is no name or lesser known guys but there's a handful of really well known players from that era in the set as well that makes it a whole lot more expensive and harder to get. I'll just list off the guys I consider to be the "cream of the crop" of the set.

Mel Ott
Jimmie Foxx
Ted Williams
Joe Cronin
Hank Greenberg
Pee Wee Reese
Bobby Doerr
Bill Dickey
Joe DiMaggio
Lefty Gomez

The Joe DiMaggio, Jimmie Foxx, and Ted Williams cards are the three most expensive cards in the set.

Thats awesome man, do you have your eye on any others?

I do, but I probably won't bid on them. Not much money right now. :(

Sick man! Can't wait till you get Teddy and Dimaggio!

Not going to happen anytime soon. The cheapest Williams I've seen is $250 and that was a PSA 1 in horrible horrible condition. The cheapest DiMaggio I've seen I think was $350.

Nice looking set so far! They are very interesting cards from an artistic standpoint. Some have very detailed backgrounds, some have a flat color! Very cool nonetheless. Congrats on halfway! That was quick :o :D

That's what I honestly love about the set. I've said it a few times but all the different colors and drawings instead of pictures is what really attracted me to the set. Some very colorful cards, some not so much, but there's a ton of variety.

Thanks for the kind wishes. I know it was quick to half way. I never planned on making it this fast, but I got lucky. :)

So we're in the same boat

I've resorted to ending my seller boycott on ebay. I broke and listed about a dozen auctions.

Yeah. I sold a few cards on eBay a few days ago but it's not much.

Yeah, I need a Greenberg but people keep bidding them up to high prices that I don't want to pay. Especially for raw versions.

How much did you pay for yours, Zan? If you don't mind me asking.

Out of my pocket, $28.01. But I had a $50 eBay gift card, so it ended at $78.01  but I believe I saw some copies that were not in great condition end recently.. K well not cheap, the cheapest one was at $55.. It'll be tougher to get, even in sh!tty condition.. Good luck with it. I'm in love with mine, I wish it was here with me at school!
