I've been working on that set for about 15 years now, and I'm about 75% done. It's a low priority for me, but it's tough to find these guys compared to 1939 and 1940, especially at shows. Congratulations on quick progress, and don't skimp on the key Williams or DiMaggio. Patience can find you a solid EX copy for $700 or so for Williams and $800-900 for DiMaggio. But if condition isn't so important to you, they can be had for under $500 each with luck and patience.

Love the Auker and Danning. Two players who sound like they were fascinating guys, and I've always been interested in them.

I've actually had these all since I was a kid in the early 1980's....big Ted fan and Sox fan. Actually need a Doerr to complete the Sox HOF quartet and the Dom Dimaggio (and one or two others to have all the Sox I believe).

You can borrow the scans any time.... ;)

I have a couple of the lesser known Sox players in the set but none of the bigger guys yet.

If you were talking to me, thank you. I'd much rather have your collection than my signature though! :D

by the way, props to whomever made your signature, it is perfect.
