Another burbank issue...... and a mailday

So I go against my better judgement (I'm a burbank hater) and bought a card from burbank. ::facepalm:: I saw this card in their store [ebay:unhd44lk]140302962116[/ebay:unhd44lk] and was also watching a nearly identical one at auction at the same time. The one at auction went for nearly $70 so even though I didn't want to buy from them, I couldn't pass up a nice card of one of my favorite players. I win the card and get it in the mail yesterday. Its a plain black jersey. :shock: I would scan it but I'm to pissed off. What a crock, waste of time, money, etc. Thanks Burbank! :evil: :evil: :evil:

I've purchased a few things from them to fill some player collector needs and they sent an incorrect card. I emailed them and they got back to me within a day, sent the correct card and a SASE for me to return the incorrect one. I would email them and see what they say about it. If not then you can always file a chargeback for incorrect improper description.

That does suck.

Burbank uses Beckett for the descriptions and item pictures. If there's not a scan on Beckett of a copy of that card, they don't get one.

So you never really see the card you're bidding on, just Beckett's stock photo of somebody else's card.

You would think that ANY reputable business would mention the stock photo (not card you're recieving) in the description.

Beautiful bat barrel autograph of Musial! I don't remember seeing it at auction, but I see it was a BIN. What do you think of the price? I don't remember any ending prices of them. The bat barrel /5 that I have of him was about $75, and one of the other 4 ended at about the same price with me being in second. If I ever get tired of cards I'll have to sell you the barrel and patch so you can have one of everything from 08 Ultimate.

They should definitely indicate that it's a stock photo, but that would be a few seconds moer to put in to overcharge people.

Whatever you do, just make sure that you have tracking on the return package.

Sweet barrel auto! I figured you got it off ebay as I didn't see it either and am doing the set. You got it cheaper than I did too. You've got a couple pc cards I need but I think I have something you want too. I'll have to send you a pm in the next couple days.

Burbank uses the images I uploaded to Beckett for their 2003 Donruss Timeline Threads photos. Since I do have some patch swatches, you see these in the Burbank eBay listings. But if you buy the card, you're most likely going to get a plain color jersey, and definitely not going to get the patch swatch shown, since its in my PC.

But if you do look under the photo of the card on the listing, it does say "Beckett Stock Photo, not actual product." Now, while I despise this practice, they do say it in the listing. But looking at the auction you purchased, I don't see the wording. Strange - they need to have it there.

Here are examples. These are my cards in my PC, that I uploaded to Beckett. Buy these auctions and you will NOT get this patch (just an overpriced plain jersey).
