The ebay name is 313lewlew....They won a auction from me on 4/25 for 2.25,not alot of money.I sent invoice the same day, after 5 days and no payment & emails,i sent another invoice. They responded they would pay soon.

So i waited to Sunday which was the 8th day & no payment or emails,i filed a with ebay and he still hasn't payed or emailed me.

I would gladly work with someone, but if they don't let you know whats going on,it's just senseless. This person is new to ebay and has 9 feedback with 100%,but 1 person left postive and stated that the person didn't pay until the seller opened a claim.

As you stated its for $2.25- this is happening more and more often.... I currently have 3 NPB ($35 total) from before that date. I also have $600+ in payments that have been between 5-10 days... this is the worst stretch of "slow payments" I have ever had on EBAY

and the worst part is that some of it, I believe, is because some people are buying while waiting for payments that are slow to arrive. So some buyers are taking longer to pay because other buyers are slow to pay

It is probably just a coincidence but I notice a lot more NPBs during finals time.

Well I had a seller get a little ancy with me and I am not sure if he was just worried because he had some people not paying or if he was really in a hurry but in any case it got a little annoying.I win about $6 worth of cards from him late last week.It was kinda late at night and the cards were all commons.Nothing too big.But there were about 20 different cards he had ending.I was trying to snipe every single one manually(as there were a few bids already...player collectors I suppose) and I did not want to overpay for a base single. Not for my sets anyway.I happened to buy a Bagwell from him and noticed he had these cards I need for sale all ending within 2 hours so I went ahead and did my best winning card after card.

Anyways...I ended up shutting the computer off after I was finished.I was tired and I still wanted to watch some of the NBA playoffs. So the next day I get on and see he left me a message. It was thanking me for my purchases and telling me payment was due within three days.I fully intended to pay before then but I didn't see that in his auctions. So I double checked and sure enough it didn't say jack about 3 days. Now I know a lot of sellers would not like to have to wait the full 7 days before getting a payment but what a lot of you have to understand is that's how ebay works. If you state in your auction that you want payment in 3 days or so I will do my best to pay before then. But the deal is...I have 7 days to pay anyway. Now I try not to take that long. But I get a little irritated with sellers who muss and fuss over the time it takes to pay.As long as I am not breaking any of ebay's rules then there shouldn't be a problem. And a lot of people don't understand that a lot of buyers buy things with the thought in mind that they have the full 7 days to pay. They may be waiting on a pay check or whatever. There is a million different possibilities. All they know is they have a set amount of time and they bid accordingly.

Another thing of note is if you expect immediate payment or ebay ever makes it mandatory for immediate payment...it will really lower the final sale price for a lot of cards. There are a ton of cards I win but I never try to stretch it too far.I win them because I know for a fact I will most likely be able to pay within a set time frame. There are only about 3 instances on ebay where I have taken more than 7 days to pay.I contacted all sellers before I even bid and told them the situation and asked for their blessing to do so.They obliged. Two of the instances were from a board member here.

So anyways...to get back on track...this dude sends me another email the next morning saying that all of a sudden he has to go out of town for an emergency and that payment has to be made that day so the cards can be shipped out before he leaves or he needs to be contacted so that he can make "other arrangements".I figure the guy is just in a hurry so I just paid as soon as I read that. But it strikes me as weird that he would not state in his auctions that payment was expected within three days. Its not the biggest deal but I can totally see it ticking someone off who has a short temper.I wonder if more and more sellers are going to doing this stuff to try to get buyers to pay sooner rather than later.

As I said before...if a buyer has 7 days...you give them seven days.Otherwise...a lot of people are not going to want to buy from you.I do understand that sellers want to be paid quickly if not immediately but ,what you have got to realize is that's the same way a card shop would work in the real world. And there is a reason I never walk out of the card shop with everything I want at once.Even if I would pay for it before the week was over. They don't allow it and therefore I cannot afford it ,so ,who loses there? Especially if I am willing to pay the most for it?

Haha, finals. Absolutely a coincidence.

What's not a coincidence is the abundance of non paying bidders since sellers can no longer leave negatives.
