after reading the one thread on here, and being extremely board tonight, ive been wandering aimlessly through tons of ebay auctions, looking at what could and might be fake items. im not mentions any user names or auctions here, incase im wrong, but a few questions i wondered and a few things ive noticed.
- is there really anyway of knowing whether or not some of these autos are real...such as the classic four sport autos, star pics (have heard the sticks just peel off, hence why the favre can be had pretty cheap), signature rookies etc etc
-found it funny that under bowman originals search, within the last 30 days a 2004 albert pujols #/50 ended, and a chin ming **** 2005 bowman #/25 ended. Go to current seaches, and theres another of each listed...i kno 50 and 25 is a large enough print run that this happens, but interesting...each sold for in the $100 range in ended auctions
-it seems that the guys i would suspect of faking, run TONS of auctions...tons of low end auctions, and that mostly their higher end items, are all the ones that could be questioned...list tons of others to try and slide through the fakes?
-also seems that for instance the guys that sell the favre star pics...have an endless supply of them. lists 1 every week. same goes with other autos of this nature.
any other opinions welcome...i kno this has all been discussed. just throwing out my 2 cents
EDIT: i apologize for bringing up yet another topic, but after actually looking at auctions and reading the info you guys have posted it, i feel myself becoming skeptical of every auction i look at
