Using almost the same fake patch on it. (Can't see the Mauer right now - the seller had shut down this auction while it was running, maybe some member here told him not to sell fakes.)

I've been tracking these patches from the first time it got out. I think the other members here will think the same here.

I think anybody should back off on this card.

some of those patches were pretty crazy so im not sure that its a fake. Im not a patch expert by any means but seems like everytime a nice patch comes up for sale everyone here starts a fake thread.

I would put the serial number on the title and description.

Seller having all private bidder auctions is a red flag for me as well.

that card looks real to me. and the mauer was only ended because it sold for $900 to a collector from vegas. there was a thread about that on another site, i think it was blowout. but i personally think this card looks real. im no expert, but i blew the image up and the border and everthing on the patch is perfect.

I'm guessing it's fake. Think the seller's name has come up before. Plus there's another questionable patch and Pujols buyback he currently has for sale. Not to mention some "hot packs".

not sure about the patch... but nothing posted here is in the same zip code as hard evidence its a faked patch. would feelings and guessing really hold up in a court of law?
