I have a very small amount of ticket stubs in my collection but thought this would be a solid addition to the Manning collection. This is a ticket stub from Indy at Seattle on August 8, 1998. It is a preseason stub but it is from Peyton's first professional start. I saw it in an ebay store several months ago and finally decided to grab it. Not sure what will become of this but I would love having it signed with some form of inscription noting the first start. I'd like to pair it up with Peyton's first regular season start stub at some point.

Nice addition. That would be awesome if you could get the auto and inscription

Does anyone here know what Peyton gets for a show signing? Steiner has him under a contract and told me that it would cost $399 for a small flat. Granted this was before the Super Bowl. I can't imagine Peyton getting this much at a show.

Thanks for the info. A regular season opening ticket sold recently but it was a ticketmaster ticket. I would prefer grabbing a season ticket stub if possible. I guess the reason the preseason stub sat around so long was because it was preseason. The first regular season ticket dropped for $83.92.

i went to a manning signing 2 years ago. I got a football signed fo 350. i believe a flat was 325 or 300 dont remember off the top of my head. As nice as it would look to get signed I wouldntwaste your money on getting that signed as it isnt even a true first game. Great piece nonetheless

Wow I guess I was off in my expectations on what to pay to get a flat signed. I really didn't expect to have to pay over $200. I don't expect a first start stub from a preseason game to get as much as a stub from Peyton's first regular season start. However, do you think the gap is that big to the point of not getting it signed? I am not a ticket collector but I would think the gap wouldn't be that wide between the two.

im not a stub collector but if your paying 300+ do you really think you can recoup 1/2 that on a ticket of a preason game? Honestly for 300 i can think of plenty of other items id rather have signed by peyton manning. Obvisously if you get it signed its going to be a great piece but can you justify paying that much for a ticket?

There's no way I can drop $300 on a sig unless it is something truly one of a kind like some game worn/used gear. Like I said I figured when I picked it up that the $399 Steiner fee was just something for them. For $300 there are other cards I'd much rather have. Maybe one day I'll find a show or private signing that is affordable.
