Pretty sure he knows they are fake as he only lists the numbering for the legit ones marked PRIME

weird thing is the Williams, Pettitte, Strawberry, and Sanders are legit

Carter might be, but I'm not familiar with the patches in that set

For those of us who are nieve to the details of what makes these patches "fake", would you please help us by explaining why you are claiming that these not authentic? Just for the record, I am not disputing your claim, just not familiar with the product or the seller.

Thanks in advance for your help

Jumbo patch cards from 2005 Absolute are marked with the designation "GAME WORN JERSEY PRIME" and are usually numbered /50 or less

Jumbo tag cards from the same set are all 1/1s and are marked "GAME WORN LAUNDRY TAG"

Sadly, many of these, especially the Nomos sold for way more than they should have.

People still just don't know what they're buying.

I came across these as well and assumed they were some of the fakes.

Just out of curiosity, how do they fake the patches? Do they actually peel back the card to insert the new patch and re-glue it, or do they somehow yank the GU out of the window and slide in a new patch that way?

Can you elaborate a bit more on the TT set? I know some of the legit cards have pretty sweet patches, but are those the ones that are actually #/50 and #/100? Seems like pretty high numbering for really nice patches back in 2005. I'd expect the more elaborate, legit patches to be #/10 or so.

To make it easier to see.

They buy a card like this: (Notice it says Game Worn Jersey along the left side)
!B)9F(8!BGk~$(KGrHqIOKm8Ew9GZh0NIBMPsWIjdIQ~~_12.jpg

and they turn it into this: (Notice it still says Game Worn Jersey along the left side)
$(KGrHqZ,!k4E2ERPHGOnBNn+wRsUZg~~0_12.jpg

And this is what it should look like: (Notice it says Game Worn Jersey Prime along the left side)
Prime means patch.

with these cards there is usually enough room to just wedge a patch in there.

as far as this set goes, there are 2 Swatch Single Jumbo Prime cards numbered /75, with many more /50 and /25

http://www.beckett.com/search/#term=200 ... order=desc

DLP was blowing out the doors when they made this set, so there are a lot of really nice patch pieces in it, which makes it easier to pass off fakes,
especially to people who don't know what they're looking for.
