Would you have paid more to gaurantee a bubble mailer?
he said that he is fine with a pwe if the charge is .50 but if it is 5.00 he is not happy

We are talking about a 2.50 charge for shipping not 5.00.

And the op never answered my question: Would you pay extra 2 gaurantee a bubble mailer?

ok now i see your point. for a low end card i would charge .50 and ship in a pwe and have in in my description. yes he made money but almost every ebay seller does now. i would have to agree with you.

Its very obvious you dont get the point.. It does not matter what it was shipped in/or even how much was charged for shipping(as I have been charged more $$ and still been happy)...

The point is he charged 5 TIMES what he paid to have it shipped..

Also knowing many people here can not stand PWEs I figured I would let them know of another seller that sends in them..
and your bitching because they made an extra $1.30 from this? get real!

I don't mind if they send in pwe as long as they state it in their auctions ... what i dont like more is that lots of sellers charge canadians the same as all international bidders (usually $4-5 as opposed to about $2-3 for americans) when the cost is usually the same (many times cheaper based on location).

I just don't understand the op's attitude about the seller not being able to make a profit. Sellers on ebay should not be expected to give charity. What blows my mind is that the card arrived safely. I dont think people realize that ebay sellers are out to make a profit or at least break even. If buyers keep crying sellers will be forced to up there prices and we all get screwed just b/c people are picky about envelopes.

To quote the op... "I'm pissed I didn't screw the seller enough. He was able to make a dollar profit! "

I guess I was not clear enough. Like I already said I would and have paid more for shipping. I personally do not care do not care how the card gets to me (whether a PWE or Bubble mailer) as long as it gets to me in good condition. I dont even care how long it takes to get to me..

I do how ever care if a seller over WAY charges in comparison to what they paid for the shipping.

What a joke...If it makes you feel better, go to your LCS and pay 10x for the card what you would pay on ebay. That way you wouldnt get overcharged for shipping. These boards have become almost unreadable with all of this complaining drivel.

What ever guys.. My issues is not the $$ amount... Its is the % amount and it isnt even as huge of a deal as you all are making it out to be..

I know many people on here cant stand PWEs so I thought I would help them out by letting them know of another Ebayer that sends cards like that..

My bad for trying to help fellow FCB members out..

Just do what I do...gladly accept the pwe.Once one arrives that is all screwed up...nail their ass to the wall with it.I get a lot of stuff in pwe's and the only cards I had screwed up came from sportlots.I doubt very seriously they would have made it okay anyways because the idiots that sent them sent them with no toploaders. One guy even said he had never seen toploaders big enough to fit the cards in question(UD glass basketball). That's funny because I sure as hell had some toploaders for them to fit in as soon as they arrived.

In any case...you know that every single guy who ships on ebay makes something off the shipping. The only person I know of who didn't was a guy who just sent me a Frank Thomas card I won for $1.75.It was free shipping.Well it came today in a bubble mailer and the price of postage paid was $1.58.That means he made no money on shipping and all of 17 cents on a diecut Thomas card that was serial numbered to boot.I actually felt bad.But these people who ship in bubble mailers make twice their money every time.Anybody who charges $3 for a card that is not insured does so.

I have said before...if you take into account what it actually costs to mail something out...it isn't cheap. You have to go buy stamps and envelopes and it takes gas and time.Plus chances are there are several cards, maybe a whole lot, that the guy is selling and he has to look for each and every one and get the proper address on the proper package and make darn sure you get the right card. Now if you guys don't want to factor that in that is fine but stop getting upset. This is freaking ridiculous.I would be a little pissed off if I got charged $5 on something shipped in a pwe but $2.50 isn't that bad. What you guys are insinuating is that a seller's time is worth nothing at all.People charge for their time.I am damn sure none of you are working every single second while you are at work but they pay you for the whole time you are there.Would you like them to only pay you for the time you are actually slaving away at whatever job it is you do?Probably not.Why is this any different?

I ship in a bubble mailer w/ 2 stamps top loader soft sleeve and team bag and all that doesn't come close to 2.50. So would you complain about 2.50 shipping in this case.

I don't think anyone is mad at you for trying to point out a potential problem that you have dealt with. Its just that we are talking about a little over a $1 here after the cost of envelope and stamp.I could see if it was a larger amount but 5 times what he had to pay on this is really not much.

In reality pwe's save sellers money and therefore cheaper prices for buyers.

All you have to do is claim you never got them and the are screwed so if they really need that extra money let them have it, its only a matter of time before some dirtbag screws them and then they will lose in the end. Then watch how fast they actually do something for this extra money they feel entitled to.
