Jeff, none of this makes sense to me. I would call them and ask to speak to the upper echelons, plead your case and see what happens.
This type of situation is very disturbing.......

Jeff,

Because your DSR's for the month have slipped down to the 4ish level (or whatever they are at), you are restricted from listing any items until your DSR's go back up.

Here is the deal with that. They recalculate your DSR's every 30 days...so for the next 30 days you will be stuck without being able to list any auctions. After the 30 days, your DSR's will be reset and you will be able to start relisting again. You should be able to still use ebay completely except for listing auctions.

You are not banned or perma banned or anything else from selling, and your restriction could last anywhere from a few days to up to 60 days depending on when they calculate your DSRs per the timetable on when you got hit with the low DSRs. Best bet is to call ebay and see when exactly the restriction will lift because they will be able to tell you.

By the way, complain all you want, but you will not get this lifted. A local shop owner had this happen because he was moving locations and was late shipping 3 cards out of the 20 he sold and he had low DSRs. They restricted him from selling for 30 days as well and he is a power seller with over 10,000 Feedback at 99.9% and they would not lift it even after the explanation.

Hope this helps
TK

I gotta stop reading threads on how much ebay sucks. It pisses me off for the rest of the day.

I wonder, "When's my turn?"

Hope you're back in the saddle soon, Jeff. How was the trial? Why didn't you settle?

I REALLY don't understand how eBay can consistently create rules and changes to their system that actually HINDER people from being able to sell or sell efficiently on their site. Do they not realize the sellers are how they make their money? If you make it too hard for people to sell and succeed, how does that HELP their bottom line??? They CAN'T be doing well and it blows my mind that they continue to make it a pain in the ass for sellers to sell, when that is their ENTIRE point of existence. It's almost as if they are TRYING to get rid of sellers... and that's like trying to get rid of the foundation of their business model, which makes absolutely NO sense.

...and if there was somewhere else to go, I'd be there.

From what I can see, when I get back from vacation in a week and a half, I'll be restored as my DSR eligible #s will be below 10 auctions and my 12 months are all above 4.5.

Pain in the ass, though. I'm not allowed to sell with 100% positive due to a small sample size yet people with literally hundreds of negatives can do it all day long. The most frustrating thing is that if you get 4s, which is 80% (or a B- in school), you're banned from selling.

Absolutely freaking amazing.

I spoke with a Customer Service sheeple today. Keep repeating the same mantra, DSR, DSR, DSR, and completely ignored the fact that my FB is perfect and that people with literally 1000s of negs can sell with impunity. I'm sentenced to 30 days (or less for good behaviour) of eBay jail, and I guess when I get out, I'll be rehabilitated and a better seller. I asked if I had to do any eBay community service or eBay probation. My sheeple CS rep didn't have a sense of humor.

BTW, the Alomar ball is waiting by my computer. I spit it on it every once in a while. Send me your address.

Can't settle all of them.

I won.

I usually do.

another reason to hate ebay- they block bidders usernames so you cant see the douches who are trying to screw you out of a card because an even bigger ****** posts the link on fcb on purpose to screw you out of getting said card

Dude...get over it.Its going to happen.Either ante up or get out of collecting. You think it hasn't happened to others before? In my mind you can post whatever the heck you want here but when it comes down to it...you have to pay more money than I am willing to to win.If you screw around and don't pay and just did it for a joke then that's on you.I am not honestly sure too many people here would bother going that far.And if they did...hey...karma can be hell.

That's rough. Sorry to hear that.

A thing that pisses me off about the DSRs is when people rate your shipping stars lower because they think you charge too much. This hasn't happened to me, but I've seen people say places (such as here) that they gave a low rating there because they were unhappy with how much they paid for shipping.

I can understand if you paid $3 and got a PWE or something that falls into the quality of shipping.

The keyword there is quality. You are rating the quality of shipping, not the price. You know the price ahead of time, so don't *female dog* about the price of shipping with a low DSR for it. Some sellers out there just have a higher shipping to save a few dollars from going to ebay fees. I don't do it myself, but I can't blame somebody who does and puts it right there in front of me.

I just realized I'm in a pissy mood this morning...but the above holds true.

So I found a little area where you can run a sellers report.

THIS is why I was suspended.

You've got to be kidding me.
