The Iowa Cubs officially announced Monday that prospect Anthony Rizzo has been promoted to the majors.
Rizzo should be in the Cubs' starting lineup Tuesday night against the Mets at Wrigley Field. The 22-year-old first baseman posted a spectacular .345/.408/.702 batting line with 23 home runs and 62 RBI in 69 games this season at the Triple-A level and seems likely to carry immediate relevance in most mixed fantasy leagues.
