I got into it last year. I never thought about owning one, until my uncle took me out and shot his new guns. Well since then, i proudly own 5 now lol...

Here is my list. Nothing special yet but I am working on getting a 1911-A1 Taurus.

Mossburg Maverick 12g Shotgun

Ruger M77 Mauser (7mm) Rifle with Leupold Scope

Ruger P95 Two-Tone 9mm pistol

Taurus PT 24/7 .45 ACP Pistol

Ta-90 (tanfoglio, cz-75 clone) 9mm pistol...

Anyone else here have an addiction to these things like I do?

I've actually been looking at some recently for home protection. I'm not a huge firearm guy but I really enjoy shooting with friends at the range and seeing all kinds of different guns.

That being said, whats your opinion on the Beretta PX4 Storm subcompact? I think it's perfect for my uses which are occasionally range shooting for practice and just home protection.

but at the same time i love .38 stub nose revolvers so i'm in the air...

it's not gonna be for awhile until i have the money to spend no prob, b/c man guns are expensive...

that 1911 you have is SICK.... we need some pics.

Beretta's are definitely on the upper echelon of the 9mm world. As long as it feels good in your hands and you like to shoot it, then go for it. Beretta is a very reliable gun.

Just make sure that you go look around at different guns and hold them. You do not want to make a $400-$600 purchase that you will not like to shoot. Some ranges have guns they rent out so you can shoot as well.

I wouldn't call myself a nut but I love to shoot. I've had a .38 revolver for years that I used to shoot alot, I recently got a Berretta .22 so I could actually learn to shoot, but haven't been to the range once with it. :?

yeah, if your a responsible law abiding citizen i feel there is absolutely no reason why you shouldnt be able to carry a concealed weapon. I want to be able to carry mine in my vehicle when i have to travel to memphis and when i travel from north mississippi through jackson to the coast, but where i live its def. unnecessary.

also, if anyone is against weapon possession you shouldve been on the coast after hurrican katrina. It was absolute anarchy and marshall law and if my parents werent strapped to the t they might not have been able to defend our house... insanity.

I've considered buying something small for protection; I don't have a whole lot of interest in shooting. Should probably do it sooner rather than later, since I doubt I'll be able to get one a year from now

I've got 2 .22 Rifles (unsure of the brands) w/ scopes that need to be sighted!
MY personal favorite is a Marine-Style short barrel Mossberg 590 9-round Shotgun modified w/ pistol grips!
Mossberg long barrel 835
Smith and Wesson .22 pistol w/ 10 round mag- plinking gun
Dan and Wesson "shorty" .357 revolver- my great equalizer!
