Willy, is the magazine in that AR a real large one or is it simply not locked in all the way?

It's not in all the way. I do have a couple of 40 rounders and a couple of 100 rounders though!

Figured I'd hop in on the fun and post my weapon all taken apart for cleaning. Standard stuff for the division.

nice lil gun... holds 12 rounds 13 if chambered (however, there is NO safety at all so i'll never have one chambered) but real compact 9mm, im thouroughly satisfied (even though i havent fired it yet).

How can a gun not have a safety? I thought that was the law

most likely a passive safety, you have to push a button whth your thumb to fire

nope nothing. if bullet is in chamber it fires. no safety...kinda scarey.

maybe i should read the manual...lol but im def. not seeing any safety mechanizism at all, not even the double trigger thing like glocks have.

i just found this on a site

" the M&P takes a lead from Glock with a passive trigger safety and does not require a decocker or manual or grip safety"

alot of the handguns now have a stronger draw weight on the trigger, it takes some force to pull it, So it is near impossible to fire them by accident,
Nice gun Vaughn

this is my Fave. I have put thousands and thousands of rounds through it with no problems. Had it for 16 or 17 years now. Not bad for $99 gun show purchase.

thats exactly it, the trigger does have a safety on it that is real subtle and forces you to pull the trigger pretty hard to fire.

btw, your sks is WAYYYYYYYYYY cleaner than my sks. Mine looks like it was picked up after some freakin war or something. I like that banana clip too, isn't that a 30 shot?

Correct 30 round, it looked pretty beat up when I got it. I justed cleaned it up nice and good.

I am toying with the idea of getting a beretta 92fs. I just love shooting that gun. and they are fairly inexpensive.

I'm issued a 92fs everyday at work and I simply don't like it. The trigger reach is too long for me and I have trouble easily releasing the magazine. I don't like the stock grip and simply do not like shooting it. I don't remember having that much trouble with it when I was in the military but I guess I just grew accustom to my Ruger P90. I may have just became more picky as I grew older.
