Hey everybody.

Was talking to my high school coach today and I'm looking to switch from center to fullback on the varsity squad. I'm 5'9" at 160 lbs, so center isn't the ideal position and full back seems like a good fit. Several of my teammates were pushing me to make the switch, so I went and talked to the coach today and he'll let me work there this summer and see how it goes.

Only thing holding me back is they'll have to find somebody else to take over the center position because on our 26 person squad, I'm the only center.

Anyways - I have a playbook and I'm looking over all of the offensive stuff - doesn't look like too much trouble to memorize - mostly blocking.

Just wanted to see if there is anyone on here who played fullback in high school or college and can throw me a couple tips or advice about the position.

Thanks in advance.

8 man? fullback should be better than center cause you get a nice little jaunt before contact. you dont live far from lincoln right? look for husker films from the early 90s if you wanna get fired up about the switch.

No we are 11 man class-C. I'm about an hour west of Lincoln.

I know I've lived in Nebraska all my life, and I go to Husker games, and it's hard not to get fired up at one of those, but I'm not a huge Husker fan. Any particular player films I should be looking for from the early 90's?
