THIS is the one I used to go to when I worked in DC, but it was quite some time ago (8-10 yrs). I'm actually surprised to see he might still be in business because he used to bust almost all of the wax he'd get in. :)

I finished a lot of sets because of Pete because he always had a ton of singles he was trying to get rid of. I'd be interested to know if he's still in business if you decide to check it out. If it's worth it, I might stop in the next time I'm travelling through DC.

I was there maybe three years ago. He didn't have much that I was interested in, but I enjoyed talking to him. He seemed like a guy who is in it for love of the game and the hobby, not money.

IIRC, Anime Pavilion in Falls Church, VA had a decent selection of wax. The shop was a pain in the butt to find though. I finally found it in the basement of some building. There is also the Card Cellar in Fredericksburg, VA in a shopping center at Rt. 1 and Four Mile Fork. Oh, and they used to have a pretty decent card show at Spotsy Mall in Fredericksburg every month, or every other month, I forget.

Its been a while since I've been to shops around NOVA.

Stopped by Pete's last year when I rolled into town. Not much wax, but some singles. An interesting guy who loves the game and cards, always has a story. Anime Pavilion has the wax at good prices for years, decent owner who shares space there. AJs in Vienna traditionally has a good selection of mostly vintage and wax and prices have gone down a long time ago. There's also a good place across the Dulles Town Center by FFX Pkwy with good wax prices and some singles, but I don't remember the name. I don't remember much about the Fredericksburg places. I think there's a monthly or bi-monthly show at Tyson's.

I haven't been there in over 5 years but J&k Sportcards in Beltsville MD was the best shop in the area. Joe was a good guy, even for a Yankee fan
