Anyone have any ideas about the letters on the bat piece of this card?

Maybe how it was catalogued and then it was placed in the card backwards? I've seen a few with numbers on them.

It does make it much more interesting than a plain bat piece. I like it.

I have a Dawson with numbers on it like this. I cherish it more than the regular bat pieces.
