I just put the card on a countertop, put the screw driver at the top where the graded paper is and hit it with a hammer. Once it's cracked pry the case apart. Works quite well.

I use pliers to break the outside edges off. Then I use a flat head to pry it open. where glasses of some sort while doing it though.

take a pair of pliers- crack the top corners

take a flat head screwdriver + slide it in near the label

wham, bam, slab cracks apart in seconds

caveat: watch for pieces of flying plastic- they're sharper than you think lol

I had this same question, use eyewear, put the case on a counter, take a hammer and smash the right top corner, take a flathead screwdriver and pry it open. Its easy.

Just gave it a shot for the heck of it last night. Found some lame BGS insert that was put into a 2001 Donruss product. I just grabbed each end and twisted in opposite directions and I started to hear the separation start. I kept going until only one side was still attached and then used my fingers to pull that edge apart. The pic is the full case (front and back pieces) together minus the card and flip of course.

BTW-It's now been destroyed and flip cut up. You never know who goes through trash. :|
