I wish they resigned him really badly. Anyone else feel the same way?
Also, what will that position look like this year? They can choose from the following players, who have all shown they are at least decent (Jacobs is obviously way better than the rest, and he's a top RB).
Brandon Jacobs (Clear Cut #1 choice; it isn't even arguable based on the season he had last year)
Danny Ware
Kay Jay Harris
Ahmad Bradshaw

I think it should go:
1. Jacobs
2. Bradshaw
3. Ware
Harris gets cut during Training Camp.

Thoughts?

Also, the Giants REALLY need to get a playmaking WR. If they don't get one, who will step up? I have a feeling it will be Moss or Manningham. Steve Smith's roll is already defined. The other two haven't done much. Manningham gained negative yards last year I'm pretty sure. However, it was because he lost 17 yards on a screen play.

I agree they need to get a tall elite WR. I would go after Brandon Marshall if I were running the team. I disagree on Ward though! I think he is a VERY average back, and the system and Oline made him look good. I think they will have a better running attack without him, and they saved alot of money! Ware>Ward imho. I also think Jacobs will now get more carries which is a good thing. They should send their 1st rnd pick for Brandon Marshall.

I never said Ward was great. I just think he thrives in the system. But, the Offensive Line definitely helps him succeed, no arguments there. Jacobs gets hurt a lot, so I think more pounding on his body wouldn't necessarily be such a great thing. I liked how they had Jacobs then Ward then Bradshaw/Ware. Defenses have to adapt real well in order to stop all three.

it does hurt to not have Ward any more but i feel very confident that Bradshaw is going to fill his shoes. His rookie year he was very impressive especially in the playoffs. I agree that Jacobs doesnt need more carries, his running style makes him injury prone. as for the WR's i think the young guys are going to have to step up and play there role well. Smith is a good route runner with sure hands but isnt a big play guy. Manningham, Moss, and Hixon have to step up and make big plays for this team. Hopefully Hakim Nicks can make some sort of an impact this year. and i think Ramses Barden could be a very dangerous red zone WR. Maybe not this year but later on. i honestly think Kevin Boss could be Eli's go to reciever this year.
