Any reason to be concerned about a fake patch?

I've been considering making an offer on this card and noticed that the Mathews patch seems to be sticking out of the card a little (actually it is the jersey in the bottom right corner which is sticking out, not the actual patch). The seller has a ton of cards from this set and I am sure he is not faking anything, but I was wondering whether I should be cautious on this:

IF you have any doubts I say stay away. I have pulled patch cards that didnt fit right or look right and they were pulled. But if you are not sure I say stay away. Always go with your gut feeling.

No I have seem plenty from that set with same issue. That card is Legit. Bigfan5 and mrwhitesox30 would also confirm. Nice card.

Thanks guys. Based on the seller, the fact that the patch is not anything too crazy (in fact for that set one might say it is underwhelming especially as it is not Braves colors) and the feedback here I went for it.

I still think the Matthews patch looks odd - the jersey seems too "modern" - I'd expect a Matthews patch to have a wool jersey with patch. The only explanation I would have is that the jersey was from an old-timers day or he was a coach in more recent years where more modern jerseys are worn than his playing days.

::facepalm:: I should have thought of that. Unfortunately that diminishes it a lot in my eyes. Not sure how I overlooked that. Of course it's not a vintage wool jersey...

I'm pretty sure that type of Mathews patch is consistent with others of him from that set. If I was looking for that card I would be comfortable with that patch.

I agree. I just know that I'm kind of gullible so I figured I'd rather ask than be sorry. I purchased the card last night after some responses and should get it soon.
