Do you guys think he will turn it around this year and get a spot in the rotation? He did pretty well in 2006 in the minors.

I personally am a BIG FAN of his and think he will have a really good year in the bigs. He is very talented and got list in the shuffle in Texas. He went from hyped prospect to off of peoples radar for some reason. That will change soon in my opinion

I think he's nothing special, and certainly won't be anything special in a hitter friendly enviornment. I also think he had one of the funniest pictures in BA Prospect Handbook history.

I agree that 'at best' you have a middle of the rotation starter with no traces of superstardom. Infact, I'll be supprised if he ever wins more than 15 games.

I think he has better "stuff" than most #3 starters in the bigs. But of course there are a million intangibles that go into being a star, but you never know I guess....

He was just recently the Rangers #2 prospect, and was rated the best fastball in the system, along with projecting as the future #2 started by BA. There is alot to like, but I think we often get caught up in the "next big thing" in low A ball rather than the 23 year old about ready to make an impact...

VERY VERY true. Wade Davis is a TOTAL BEAST and is getting no love.

That's ok, when Hurley, and elbert, and Wade all break out, some of us will be very happy....

To be fair, he was the Rangers #2 prospect when the Rangers were the 28th ranked organization. Even when the Rangers organization moved up the rankings and he was #3, it was mostly because they had great depth and many of their prospects hadn't really blossomed yet. Plus, Hurley has been underwhelming at every stop once he got out of AA.

Joe, Skrip, you guys get it my friends.

Oh well, people with patience (not dumping to buy the next hot thing) and smarts (SP Autos for $25, yes please!) will be rewarded in the longrun.

I'm glad I got $150 for my Hurley SP Auto 9.5 a couple of years ago.

Still sitting on some Elbert. He's a guy who everyone said had far more upside than Hurley who I've never seen projected as more than a #3 guy.

Elbert has the stuff, the question is can he get healthy and stay healthy. I have heard nothing but good things since he was called up last year, and I am hoping that this is his breakout year. It will be 18 months after Surgery which should be perfect timing for the beginning of the year.

Paying $6-7 for his Elite Auto's seemed like a no-brainer back a couple years ago, and if he can do anything they should prove to be a nice investment. Also have a couple SP auto's and a gold ref.

What is this? The old folks prospector home?

Class of 2004 pitchers, who wants them? They're only about to be on Baseball tonight every night.

I want the kid that just got drafted who only 2000 people in America could pick out of a lineup. :)

I've got a stash of Elbert, Hughes, Bailey, Hurley, Davis, and McGee (crap) waiting to go.

I've had a great run with buying Davis SPs at ~$30, selling at $60. Doubled my money at least 3 times doing that.

I didn't get in as early as you guys (I did on Hurley and Elbert :D ) but I've still done well.
